Hello everyone,
I am going to moscow to work for 6 months and the company can only get me a single entry visa to start with. So, I need a tourist visa for the month before, when I will be travelling, and leaving Russia for a week in Kiev, Ukraine. Thus, I need two visas - the tourist visa and then the buisness visa. I was going to apply for the business visa while in Kiev.

First, does anyone know how long it takes to get a business visa from the Kiev consulate?

Second, is there any way I can apply now, from the US, for both visas? Can I apply for two visas at once if they are for different time periods?

Thanks for your help!
Anna

You won't be able to get your business visa in the US as well as a tourist visa. They can't even start processing a business visa invitation until 45 days before your entry date so time-wise it's not possible.

The consulate in Kiev looks easy to deal with. Here are the requirements:

It says they can do visas same day or next day if "work volume permits". I didn't see any info about application fees but you could call to find out.
