Ok a year ago I came to the WTR site looking for information on learning the Russian language and also for Visa support. Innitially I waited a couple of months before visiting the threads and then I waited a month or so before actually posting something. Which I think my first post was in response to my first visit to St Pete...and I was looking for info on a certain Russian Actor. Then I saw a lot of US bashing from a person named Xela whom I engaged in conversation...and now I visit dialy while at work to help the pass my time here. Friendships have been made and I converse daily via phone...e-mails...instant messages...etc. with some of the other members. I also have used the services on this site...having received visa support on 3 different occasions. I have also explored the sites many informative pages and have learned a lot about Russia and her people. Of course I have run into some psycho people here as well...received threats, had a former GF contacted by some idiot from here...but I guess this comes with the territory. Over all though the site is informative, useful, and a great place to visit

Then I saw that it was too late for most of them, so I quit doing that. I was getting really bored at one point here but then a gift came in the person of BCbud. My life has never been the same ever since. The thrill is unending and the joy is all mine.

I came here because I heard that the 3 stooges were getting back together, and sure enough, you, Smurfguy, and the Britiot appeared like magic. Now I just have to figure out which one of you delivers the eye pokes, and which one receives them. \ P.S, Who's on first?

I think you came initially to look for a russian g-friend. That's the ultimate truth. Nothing wrong with that. I'd sugguest you keep looking for one. Are you familiar with what Sambo means? Yes there is a particular reason, I said before that I liked Oleg Taktarov, and this was one of his styles of fighting. Sambo is a martial art.

Sambo is an abbreviation for "Self-defense without a weapon".

As far as Russian or Ukranian...I think Russian women are more sincere

It was triggered for some strange reason after seeing The Bourne Supremacy. Then I stumbled across this site while doing some Google searches. I was even new to the whole message board thingy back then, too. I read the topics for a couple months before eventually joining because of a visa question. It's been an addiction ever since then.

I found a lot of useful information here (ie: visa support, registration, etc), got a lot of travel tips from those who had lived/traveled to Russia, and in general found the site interesting. This is my first time using an online forum/chat and like a lot of the others here, I'm pretty addicted and check in quite a bit
