I've been really wanting to see the new (or newer) version of Master and Margarita. I think it was a made for tv movie or series in Russia? Anyway, I heard it was only in Russia and would be a while before you could find a version with English subtitles. So, I can either wait a few years until I can watch it with subtitles, or hope my Russian improves so much that I can watch it in Russian. I'm thinking the first is more likely to happen My husband tells me I pick things up quickly, and my accent is very good, but that I'm too lazy and never practice, lol.
Daria, is that link a website where you can watch entire movies for free, or is there a cost with that? That's something my husband might like. |

Yes, you can watch 80% of movies for free. I like this website.
Master and Margarita DVD is available in any Library now. New version with subtitles. But I'm sure there is a waiting list to see this film. Memocast has it and it's free, but subtitles are visible in a small screen only (i don't know why) If you make " Full screen", subtitles disappear.
I'm on the waiting list in my libtrary to get Master and Margarita. I saw it in Russia though, but I want my husband to see it. He loved the book and very curious to see how Russians managed to make a movie out of it. |

Same here!! I read the book, thought it was great, but wondered how they could translate that into a movie. My husband says there is a theater in Russia that performs it year round (or used to). That would also be interesting to see how they manage that. |

I saw it. It's pretty good. There are ten parts though, so it's a long one. There is no way one could fit the whole story into two hours. Special effects are excellent. |

I finally got my hands on Night Watch, and i was surprised to find it was dubbed in English. I was expecting it to be in Russian with English subtitles. What were other's experiences with this movie? This was the first movie I have every seen dubbed! |

I have it. I watched it in Russian with English subtitles though.
It may have an option for dubbed over English, but haven't checked that out yet. |

Hmm, I should have looked into that option. It's a little weird seeing actors' mouths moving out of sync with what they're saying.
At least the dubbing was done with a Russian accent |

Yep, I remember it now. And the little girl, playing his daughter is his real daughter in life. She is a big fat lady now. |

She is doing a kid's program now, called "Spokoinoi nochi, malyshi". She's done few soap operas. She is all right, nothing special though. Girl next door. Well, fat girl next door.
