Yeah, that was very obviously not the national anthem. I couldn't find the anthem in the list. The song you linked was very nice. Nikir just likes picking on Jo jo. I had the "original" anthem linked some time ago for Russki Canadian. There are a couple versions. Maybe he could share that link. |

I can't be objective here, BC. I'm Russian. I like Russian music. To tell you the truth, Russians are doing much better now, then, let's say, ten years ago.

I like the old stuff, with a good strong beat. I like Russian chanson. I like the type of music that I linked earlier in the thread. It seems that the music in Russian is being polluted by styles like Spears, and that teenie bopper nonsense. Sometimes its hard to keep your own style in music, and still be popular. |

I'm going to butcher this big time, but I believe the song is something like "Luba Bratsa Luba"? I heard it when I went and saw the Cossacks, and although I had no idea what they were saying, it was really powerful and strong sounding.
Tried to find it on You Tube or something similar, but to no avail  |

Yep, Rastorguev sure knows how to sing... I heard he realy let himself go, and gained a whole lot of weight recently, is that true? Because he always was kind of chubby to begin with... |
