Your sons may not like girl's names. Are you sure about them names? |
Of course not silly, these are for girls names. I do like the name Mikhail, Yuri or Ilya for sons.
I will do Russian names as middle names. |

It's Ekaterina. Katia is short for Ekaterina. It's a nice name. |

Zahar is a good name. Very strong, I like it.
it's Zachary in English. |
Zachar is cool but Kondrat is better |
OK, "Kondrat" is bad!!! I agree. |

I agree, if I had kids, I would not want them having any "run of the mill" names. My name isnt unique, but I only ever went to school with one other girl who had my name and she was way younger than I was, so I think its nice to have a different sort of name that hasnt been overused. |

As Fire_G said, no "run of the mill" names. I like abundance. I think Katerina is a strong, lovely name for a girl. Most women in the US have the name Brook, Lisa, Amber, Tammy (Tamara). I think those names are over done. My friend from Germany is named Katja. I think the name Katja is more common in Germany than Russia. Correct me if I am wrong. I have always like that name, but Katerina is my favorite.
Is it spelled Katarina or Katerina? I don't know if it is spelled correctly or both ways. |

It's Ekaterina. But you can spell it anyway you want. It sounds the same. |

Amber and Brook sound like girls from the west coast of the US.
I think I watched too much of 90210 when it was on and I wasn't a regular viewer either!
My boyfriend told me Yuri means "peasant" in Russian.
Is Yuri a common name in Russia like John seems to be in a lot of English speaking countries?
Ilya, does that name have a meaning too?

The spelling can be either variation, depending on the person. I have a good friend named 'Katarina', although she's slovak and not russian. She also goes by 'Katka' for short. |

Amber is nice...but not big on Brook. Kiersten, Kimberly, and Katherine...I think are nice names. I also like Christina, Shannon, Michelle, ahhh there are a lot of good names out there..including Josephine, Daria, Lauren, & Cheryl |
