My aunts neighbor claimed she was "out of it" and could not account for 8 days of her life, all because of codeine. I think people are dishonest and dont want to mention the fact that they mix their pills with alcohol, which is a major no no.

US health care is the best in the world...and it's free! Zip....nada...ask any Mexican and especially the illegal ones. Where we are lacking is in the pharmecudicals...it's expensive...and in Insurance, and in numbers of hospitals, staff, and clinics...outside of this we have the best...and it has nothing to do with the care. We have over 300 million people in our country...Canada only has 30 million and yet still there is a wait...nope sorry Canada also needs to improve

That was the one plus we had over Canada, was that we had more money for research, but right now thats not the case. As to healthcare in this country, its not free for you when you arent a minority, all those "free clinics" are conveniently located in neighborhoods dominated by those groups. HMO's in this country suck and they cater to cattle yards, where they just give you a pill to treat a symptom but not solve your problem. You will never see a specialist, you cant just forget about that. The whole system is f*cked.

I went to one of those free clinics "Se Habla Espanol" and although it was a bit shady looking and me being white and affluent so to speak I was like whoa...but in actuality...it was all free...the wait was like 20 minutes and the staff was so helpful and courteous. I only went in to get the blood work for my HIV test so I could get my visa for Russia. Anyways I was impressed with the place. I am covered by the VA so any major stuff I go to them. I also pay $10.00 a month for Dental and no problems or waits getting care via my Dental office. There are thousands of research labs...and bear in mind so many of them make thier money off of government grants...honestly can we afford to fund all of them. Like Stem Cell...I don't think the Gov should finance it....and Private companies are already. Anyways people here complain about Health care in terms of drugs...because they cost too much...which is true.

The AMA and FDA are always trying to stick their noses into natural health care, and claim certain things dont work, well I find it ironic that some hospitals are now offering yoga, and imagery as a way to beat certain sicknesses. We also are slow about finding ways to live comfortably with MS, yet for years now places in Germany have dealt with MS patients and shown them what they need to be doing, and eating in order to remain mobile and not become a victim to the disease. I dont like how sickness is big business in this country, and its disgusting the way drug companies are able to advertise to the public. Its funny how the FDA is quick to approve drugs that have a plethora of side affects, yet come down hard on vitamins and herbs. Sorry but God didnt create synthetic drugs, he provided certain things for us on earth that naturally aide us in health, and when taken in moderation have no side affects. This is just not true for pharmaceuticals, if you take one of their pills, you are going to then need another down the road to help with the side affects the first one caused. I dont trust these bastards, and I wont until they stop with their drug dealer mentalities.

I've heard it's very good, very telling of the health care issue in the States. Oh yes, Canada needs vast improvement with healthcare. The answer isn't medicine to treat the symptoms, but keeping people healthy so they do not develop preventable diseases in the first place. Yes, drug companies aren't interested in that method, how would they make any money! More money in sick people than healthy people! YG

Plus Michael Moore distorts, lies, and takes things out of context...he is a fat bag of wind and would make a good bed fellow for that other fat bag of wind...Kennedy...oh and they might as well include Al Core...Hypocrite! Hope Moore has a heart attack and gets his treatment outside of the states...you know he won't though. Sure, things get on a waiting list, but at least we have a waiting list. Also check prescription prices in Canada, and then at your house. No system will ever be perfect, but as I said, at least we have a system. There are new MRI clinics opening everywhere, and it only costs 800 dollars privately. BTW, We have walk in clinics everywhere. Not just in poor areas
