By the way, the word tsar originates from the surname of Julius Caesar. The name caesar was adopted as a title by the Roman emperors and those who felt there were successors of those emperors. One group, a family by the name of Romanov, was fortunate enough to be elected to hold the position of emperor of all the Russias and they also adopted Julie's surname as their title in a Russified form.
All hail tsar Michael! |
You have proven one of my points.
Hebrews do no use written vowells so that Caesar becomes Csr. Khazar and Caesar are lingusitcally very close. Khzr can easily becomes Czr. "Kh" can have the same sound as "c"
Cyrillic uses written vowels.
Peh ah err
That was one reason to post what Khazar is in other languages.
They both meant king or emperor originally. The Khazars used the Hebrew alphabet. There language was Judeo-Crimean Tatar.
Cossack could also mean king.
How did the term Caesar get to Russia since the Roman empire was long since extinct before the Russians used the term?
Just look at the distance from Rome to Moscow.

| Mark please don't be ignorant. The Germans weren't fighting the USSR on one front and the 'US' on the other. Please, don't be an American fanboy. They were fighting the Allies. That being the US, Britian, Canada, etc. I'm not trying to be a prick, I just hate when people ignore facts like that. |

Excellent point. Americans tend to forget convenient facts like that. |

Yes they did, the US through Vichy France and the USSR from the East.

Just a note....when did the allies open the second front by landing a lot of troops?.....1944!
Till then...the US only supported financially...and Britain only bombed....(I'm not sure about the French, Aurstralia, Norway etc. but they didn't have enough strength to do significant damage by themselves)
What took them so long?...maybe they had another reason for landing...to stop communism from spreading when Russia started winning the battles. |

Okay, guess I misunderstood.
If you look at a map, you can see Ukraine to the East as a barrier between EU and Russia, and Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to the South East as a Iran/China barrier.
Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are all barriers between the EU and Russia in the North East. I don't know the status of Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia. And then there is Finland to the North.
Is there any wonder why Russia would want to cement things with the Ukraine? Look at her Eastern borders.

Vic that is not true. Either the west and USSR would have evetually won the war and much higher. But working together, many lives were saved. The "just bombing" were able to cripple Germany abilities to manufacture weapons to be used on the Eastern front. The "just bombing" had significant loss of life and equipment on the west. Thus Germany was not able to replenish its equipment to maintain a significant force on the Eastern front. Another point that people miss is the use partisians to blow up installations and force the Germans to keep significant amount troops occupied. |

Yeh. My point was that it wasn't the US on one front, it was the Allies. The Allies invaded during D-Day. The allies pushed into Europe and into Germany. This wasn't a war won by America and only by America. It was won by the Allies of which America was a part. Yes the US helped but it's ignorant to call the two fronts the USSR and the USA. That's a false analogy to say the least. Obviously the USA was there, but it wasn't Just them and they didn't attack/win that front alone.
That was my point |

I didn't mean to diminish the significance of British bombing but I think that the Allies waited too long to land a significant amount of troops on the western front.....before D-Day...which was june 1944 right?...the other 5 years! there were no troops landed on the western front....If they had done D-Day earlier...they would have lost a lot more men....but Germany would have been defeated quicker...less jews would have been killed and less russians...I mean there would be less casualties in total.
This is my opinion..and correct me if any of my facts are wrong. |
