Way to go Melissa...and Americans and Russians have a lot in common! Notice in Russia how all the new found wealth...the people who have it are not hesitating to get thiers...it's a frenzy. But it is also natural too...all we have to do is look at US History from the last turn of the century...oh the early 1900s America was behaving the same way. Things in russia will smooth out and hopefully then the true good will comeinto play. Had dinner last night with abut 20 people from Russia and the Ukraine...lot of fun and the wine was poured...vodka was downed and the tequila was shared...and I was forced to speak russian...ok just the handful of words that I know. Anyway life is good and on a Wednesday night...sure helps to make the week move along  |

It's not a "Russian" forum. It's a forum for English speakers who are interested in Russia. There are many forums that are in Russians where "real" russians hang out. |

Unless, I'm mistaken, they are talking about things that only Russians can relate to. In the west, we have been very spoiled. Russians have been through a lot tougher times than we have. Part of the Russian soul. When you struggle and win, it tends to make you more proud of where you come from. And even when you leave your country, you still miss it, good or bad, a part of you is always there.

Me and "No Comments" were just arguing about how Russia was no better after the Fall. I said to "No Comments": "Yeah, well, sorry about the language... I just watched the Russian TV News... can't find much diffrerent words after seeing what I saw there." 
Oh, and our first reponces were... poetry. |

she is referring to all the arab, or middle eastern descendt people...you know the ones who are here crashing planes into buildings   Did I just say that? Well this is how I understood her comment...not necessarily my views. |

I know who Muslims are! Speaking of buildings and planes...don't start with that, please. You know my oppinion on that subject.
