I'm reviewing the New York Russian Embassy's requirements for a tourist Visa. They request a "cover letter from your travel agency in the USA, containing the following information: Applicant's name, Dates and points of arrival and departure in and from Russia and means of transportation; itinerary in Russia" Does this come with a tourist invitation, or is that something that I have to make up myself. Am I therefore the "travel agency"?

If I do it myself, how specific does it have to be?

Thanks for your help.

I don't think you need to supply invitation AND cover letter. It looks
like it's the same. But you need to check that.
