chi6me8ra Frequent Guest Joined: 26 Sep 2004 Posts: 32 Location: Manhattan	Posted: Thu Dec 16, 2004 8:45 am    Post subject: my two cents... being black (ethnically kenyan)and having grown up in a stereotypically white area (sw portland) i've definitely seen little traces of racism in people BUT not just in whites. every group has a little us-against-them mentality but a majority of ppl don't allow that mentality to consume them. i think being a minority anywhere ALWAYS feels somewhat uncomfortable but that doesn't necessarily mean the majority is out to get you. i don't expect to run into dozens of black women like me everyday on the streets of russia but i don't really see that as evidence why i shouldn't go to russia. ppl always notice the "odd" one in the bunch but that's the way life works. i'm sure i'll get a couple of stares (for a number of reasons aside from being black) and will probably even hear something i think is racist but i don't think that fear should keep me at home. basically there is racism everywhere and we all just have to learn how to deal with it constructively.

You also "try" to show us some statistic facts and to prove that there is a discrimination of turk peoples Look: the second ethnic group after russians is tatars - they are muslims and turks... I've been to Tatarstan - there's absolutely no discrimination. And never refer to statistic facts - it's always sounds unconvincengly... 2chi6me8ra you're right absolutely...

This has subsequently caused a massive uprise in anti-Black sentiment in France. English black football players in Spain were monkey-chanted by the entire Madrid Stadium crowd(even by women and children) and had bananas thrown at them due to a rise in anti-black sentiment over there as there has been the case in Greece and the Balkan States. Being a Doctor you should know; it all depends on which way you look at it.. OW28: yes of course, thats the real reason, isnt it?? Black Sudanese must be getting slaughtered because they actually prefer the desert climate?! Blacks are still the vast majority of ethnic groups who are harrassed by police in England because the weather's most different for them?! Who cares anyway?? WAKE UP???!! The links between Muslims and Europe are getting re-connected. Look at Turkey and last month Bosnia-Herzinigova and Serbia(who would have thought it?). Western Europe is now starting to reverse a lot of biased legistlature due to a renewed recognization of Muslim's history and contribution to Europe. If Iraq has shown anything, it has shown that military action/persecution of any kind against them is most unsuccessful and definately not the right answer. War in Iraq has cost over 250 BILLION DOLLARS so far, and experts say thats not going to scratch the surface of the real costs of the already behind-schedule rebuilding. At those prices we wont be seeing many more wars in our time at least. Russia and China have aligned with Iran(look it up-ANY NEWS SITE including Russian and Oriental - Nov.2004) after signing two of the largest oil and gas deal in modern history, and have agreed to give exclusive backbone to Iran over international affairs. Does this sound like a world biased against Muslims for the rest of 'eternity'? Not quite. The fact is that I've rumbled this little circle, and you know it. How many true Russians read this site?? Not many. But there is an overflux of black replies in here(indeed in ANY internet forum/chatroom)..usually they post stolen pictures of white people, add a white name and type their fantasies all over the internet. lets arrange a link up on Web-Cam and we can continue this discussion amicably face to face so we can know we are both white, and not just a 'race-stirrer' as some of you evidently are. If you are unable to do this, I will assume you're yet another Afro-Caribbean dreamer.. If you can however, I look forward to hopefully hearing from you! For those genuinely interested; any Italians or Greeks or Turks travelling to Russia will be most welcome. Russians traditionally have an interest in Greeks, and, as we all know you get Greek-looking guys in INDIGEONOUS families in England and France and elsewhere in Europe. even the Muslim-population over there likes you guys too!!
