Very Happy

Wow, that's just Moscow statistics too, wholey smokes, many, many different nationalities. Some of the names I've never heard of too.
Mordvin, Chuvash, Ossetian, Pushtu, Avar.
Are those folks from the southern areas of the former Soviet Union?

I read that Lenin was Jewish from one side of his family, can't remember which side.

The Jewish people are an etnicity. They are a Yiddish/Hebrew speaking semitic people. They (in Russia, at least) even have their own type of last names, like Rabinovitch, Gelstein (Gelshtain), or Geltsberg...

Trotsky's real last name was Bronstein, I believe, so, decide for yourself.

Churchill's mom was of jewish descendt...and it has also come out the Roosevelt...his name was changed too as his family is also Jewish. The actor Kirk Douglas...is also a Russian Jew...changed his name. In factmost of those who started Hollywood are all Russian Jews. Lot of Jews in Russia...Lot of Russian Jews here today in the USA.

Living in NYC I'm well familiar with Jewish cultures and religion sects. True Surf, Hollywood studio moguls were mostly Jews from Russia. What I find interesting is the Hasidic sect that came out of Eastern Europe and suffered alot under the Pale of Settlement which was implemented by former Czars and Czarinas of Russia.

Well there was definitely much discrimination against Jews long before WWII...and even here after. I noticed the same stereo types in Russia as there is here in the states. And Russia has been just as guilty as any other place. Of course Germany went over the top. But really I guess discrimination is everywhere...here in the USA so many Jews changed thier last names. I honestly view Russia today as being much like what the USA was like a 100-150 years ago. I think everyone should watch the Gangs of New York...talk about Corruption! And watching what America is dooing today and how our leaders are selling us out with NAFTA, NORTH AMERICAN ALLIANCE, ETC...ETC...it's bad what is going on. Putin is smart for promoting Nationalism in Russia

Our country is in such dire straits at the moment with the economy. There are so many issues that America is facing today, illegal immigration, health care, education, wars, social security benefits etc...There is no unity with people...only the the Liberals come out if someone accuses someone of racism or sexism etc...I'm an open minded person but America would be better off if we paid more attention of what's happening in our country than worrying about other countries' issues. I think we should start with the gasoline crisis that's happening here..prices going up and up and then down again...we need not to relay on other peoples oil and concentrate on how to produce energy saving alternatives than gasoline. Confused

You are right Steven B. Thing that Americans don't realize is that our International and Foriegn Policies do not differ between our two polictical parties...the objectives and agendas remain the same. But here on the home front Our domestic issues differ greatly betwen the dems and the republicans. So it is important to vote...because who is appointted to the supreme court justices will reflect in the character of our people. Also who we elect greatly affects our personal incomes...and employment. Higher taxes always mean less jobs available and greater unemployment.

Also we have vast oil and gas resources...but understand this: It is better to use up someone else's first rather than use our own. This has always been American Policy. Now then the cost of extracting oil and transporting it has gone up...so has the price of oil. But let's put things into perspective...when it comes to consumer goods: the cost of things over the past 50 to 70 years have gone up about 10 folds...Oil and gas has stayed right on parallel with these other goods. What has changed though...are the amout of taxes being paid...and the cost of real estate...which have gone up like crazy-just rediculous. People want tax breaks for the poor...which is great-except the poor don't pay taxes...not the bulk of the taxes-hardly any really. So where is the benefit there. That is just another way for the gov to escape taking in less. The rich pay the majority of the taxes-granted they have many shelters etc...and hey when people like Bill Gates who have billions-let's say he has 30 billion...even if he gives 10 billion to the gov or even 15-he still has well billions so he can afford it...but he pays way more than the average person and well more than those who do not pay! Also our unemployment rate is less than 5% which is unheard of...The S&Ps and the DOW are at record highs, Real estate is still at record highs, Income earnings are at record highs...our economy is doing very well. Remember thistoo...when the dollar is weak...that brings in foriegn investments...and means we export greater numbers-both of which means...more revenue for America...and more spending for others. As a tourist it's not good...but as a business person here...it's great.
Yes I totally believe in alternative energy...and public transportation. Problem is still it's expensive and not convenient...not convenient also translates into being expensive.

Health care is an issue and needs work...but the solution is not socialized medicine. And we have the best health care facilities and care in the world-hands down. The problem is that we associate Prescriptions with care...and this is wrong. The problem in the US helth care system is mainly in the prescription drug area...costs are exhorbant! Why-well because of lobbyists...and because of copy write and patent infringements...and because our government spends billions of our tax payer dollars on research...that is not to be out done by cheap knock offs that are risky and un approved by our FDA. These all being what comes from Canada and Mexico and China-very very scary!

Ok illegal immigration is all about uniting Canada Mexico and the US and South America in an aliance to compete with China. China has provided cheap labor and environmentally unwatched production of goods...allowing corporations to produce on the cheap. Thing is...cost of transporting these goods is expensive and time consuming...best to bring the outsourcing back close to home. Set up shop here again. Econmically it keeps the USA sound and forces the Chinese to rethink thier situation. Everyone else still has to ship...whether it is china or mexico-products are still going on planes, rails, trucks, and ships. We will take China out of the market as a key player. Also Mexico is about oil...they have it...we want it...and it comes at a price! America will share in the burden of Mexico's population. And this is great for Mexico...because the more mexicans here in the USA the more influence and control Mexico has on us. Vicente Fox just laid all this out the other night in his speech. And it is going to happen.

The USA is not dependent on anyone for anything...we are totally self sufficient...everything we do Internationally is merely for profit. We financed and built the Panama Canal...if we were so imperialistic...why didn't we keep it...control of it? We do not control Germany...Japan...etc etc. Things to think about really.

Its like, use others vault to save yours. best way you can say is conquer. Do you think US is self dependent. then tell me

# average buying demand in US is high for US brand or for japanese brand when it comes to cars. japanese cars outsell US makes.
# the percentage of non american's work in NASA & Microsoft. remove all other nationals in visa bill. next day microsoft becomes microdust.
# stop your imports from Africa&china, then see your condition.
# even the Pentium processor chip & mobile phone you use are fabricated in china/taiwan and software designed in INDIA. without INDIA Intel's latest chip will not roll out.

you can't suppress others to safeguard your's. that's why you have attacks from worldwide agencies. does September 11 attacks happen in russia or INDIA, NO becos we will not interfere on others matters for immolation. we will not drop atom bombs to safe guard our stockpile. we will not put embargo on others in fear of indirect competition. we will not impose tough sanctions to maintain monopoly/dominance over critical sectors like nuclear power. we will not only give lecture on peace but we follow it.
