I went to Triumph long ago in about 1997, while in high school. We had guests from USA in school and took them there. Had great time, some american guys got drunk though they came with DARE http://www.dare.com/home/default.asp program to us. Smile

I went there with 6 girls-including my GF. It was close to the apartment so we could walk. I was told it was just a low key club but a lot of fun because the people were not as snobby. Anyway I had a good time. So yeah just reflecting on it. I'm planning to come to St Pete in December for a couple of months. Waiting on the visa. Do you know the address for Mir Corp...I know it's down town and I am hoping to stop by there and say hi.

Quote:
Tribunal Bar - Just up towards the Neva very close to the Red Lion near the Bronze Horseman.

Sort of pub that turns into a lively disco with the house girls dancing on the bar. Alright to take the mrs though because they dont remove the full kit. Good little Dance Floor and Beer price is OK. You haven't died and gone to heaven if your being eyed up by some cracking tottie at the bar because there are a few ladies of the night in here so watch yourself but they're not too in your face. And the local ordinary girls are pretty friendly. Warning don't get into a taxi drunk and on your own outside, chances are you'll be well over charged. Stick together and you'll be alright. Geezer on the stage later asking for volunteers, trouble was he spoke like a 78 and I can only understand Russian at 33rpm. Gavereetye Myedlenna Pajalsta!

I had a pretty good time at this bar and they put some good shows on too. But yes the dance floor is small.

I just stayed at a really cool hotel near the Moscow Railway Station, on a quiet lane just off Vosstaniya St. Really lovely staff and they had just opened, so I was given a 10% discount! Laughing Although there are only seven rooms, they are stunning, almost palatial in decor. The site was www.kamerdiner.com.

Nice restaurant in Spb is "Oil and wine"..
Has only 8 tables, so it is best to book...
Went there 2 times now...
Excellent food, good choice, prices are more than decent.....

A place also worth mentioning is SevenSky Bar, in the palace shopping centre, has own elevator, takes you to the top, nice views, excellent food, excellent music, at night there's even a DJ... Definately more "upper class"...
They also have free wifi, etc, etc...a place to impress somebody....

On Vasilevskiy Island there is something hidden that has just opened...
Sokos Holiday club....a 5 star hotel...and Spa (not open yet)
but inside...
Bridges, nice coffee bar thinghy and Sevilla, their Spanish restaurant. Prices are reasonable, the food magnificent and you get a real 5 star service. Has also received very good reviews in the Spb times...The chain is Finnish, so the quality is exquisite......

"The Other Side" on Ul. Bolshaya Konyushennaya is filled on Friday. Loads of expats (drunk) there. Not a place to pick up anything but a hangover Wink
Food is reasonable too.

Good day, everybody! For now I'm in Russia, St.Petersburg.
Walking everyday through the museums! I've already visited: Russian museum, The Hermitage, Petergof, Peter and Paul Forteress and Erarta museum. The last one is about modern art, very big. I really enjoyed the museum and the galleries as well. Special thanks to our guide, Olga, smart and ginger-haired! I never thought that something like this could exist in Russia!
If you have any questions about St.Pete and museums for now I can ask my friend here and answer you!
