| Racism exists everywhere. I don't think one country or continent is more racist than another. People will have prejudice everywhere. Forget terrorism, tyranny, and all that happy jazz: the world will never know peace until there is an end to racism and every man, woman, and child is equal. |

True... In Russia, there is a youth organisation called "The Russian-Chechen Friendship Organisation".
It's members, young Russian and Chechen people are dedicated to restoring peace between the two nations, and helping all Russian people, be they Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or Buddhist (Kalmyks, Buriats), to become a more unified society, and, together, to build a new Russia, a more powerful, more prosperous Russia, one that is better then Russia ever was before.
One of the projects they are working with the government on, is to get people from Tatarstan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan, North-Ossetia/Alania, Karachai-Cherkessia, Bashkortostan, the regions that have highest burth rates in Russia, also Russians from the European parts of Russia, and people from former Soviet Republics of Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and the Central Asian Republics, to move to the Russian Far East, in order to prevent it from being overpopulated, and taken over by the Chinese. My friend Magomed, and his brother Hamzat, both from Ingushetia, have gone recently. I called them, they told me they are getting special financial help from the government, and assistance with finding a home. My other friend, Zhenia (Evgeniy), from Crimea, Ukraine (although Crimea is Ukraine only on paper, as he himself says  ), also has moved to the Far East. He says there are now new opportunities there. With all the new marine oil platforms, that Russia had bought from South Korea. These give the men jobs.
So, yeah, Surfguy, this is for you as well. You were talking about all the illegal Maexican migrants in California nad Texas. There's your solution: get Americans from other regions to move there. A financially profitable, politcally correct solution to your problem.

| well...Southern California...Arizona...Texas...New Mexico...was always very Mexican and I do not have a problem with it being so...I just want it to be American and have everyone here legal. So for me and many it's not a racial issue. Whites have always been the minority and we accept that. And for me personally...I am working to achieve homes all over the world and then I just hope to travel from one to the other International is the way to be...and the best way to get the most out of life and where we all live |

| As an african-american female living in the american south, I've seen and heard so much rascism it's not even funny. But I see people who are rascist as ignorant and full of hatred for themselves and because they hate themselves so much they have to extract hate on everybody else. I can't see hating someone based on race or religion, how do you truly know how somebody is unless you have a conversation with them. We've all got red blood and men and women share the same body parts. Love doesn't come in shapes, sizes, race, creed, or color, love is just what it is, love and all you need is love. |

Wow! I am really bringing life back to this post LOL!!
I agree with all the ppl who said racism in Russia is not much different than in other places. For example, I live on a small (55km/21 miles) long island in the north Atlantic with 63.000 inhabitants. Lots of racism here. Even killings due to race. This type of person cant live in this neighbourhood...I wont vote for this political party coz they have too many of that race in power...I dont want my child to attend this school coz there are too many of this race attending it...I wont eat at this restaurant coz the owner is of that race...On and on...
The bottom line is that racism exsist everywhere there are people. I lived in southern India for 13 months and I saw the racism there as well! Lighter skinned Indians from the north dont like or wont marry darker skinned ones from the south. Fairness skin creams fly off the store shelves and southern girls walk around with umbrellas so they wont tan any darker. Its crazy, racism of every kind! Because of color, nationality, religion, language, political conflict, etc...Scary huh?!
The world needs to grow up! |

Long talks here, guys. I just wanna say from my experience the problem is largely overblown. And it overblown for thick political reasons, remember all you watch (including that youtube video) is propaganda more or less.
When a white Russian is attacked by an a Azeri, for example, it's just a crime, nobody cares. If they swap roles - ouch, it's a hate crime!!! Get that goddamn camera here!
BTW racism is everywhere. For example i haven't ever seen a single white bus driver in my area in the US in all my life.
Russia is not racist. People there are used to living as friends and brothers with other races (there was no racial problem in USSR at all). A lot of mixed families. A lot of high-ranking non-Russians, too. |

If Russia is not racist then I wonder why Russia is the only country in the world who believes it?
Nevertheless, on all the debate that could be had on Russians being racist or not, after reading their posts on Kosovans, Albanians, Azeris etc. I can tell you one thing as an absolute certainty.. Something which could never truthfully be up for any kind of academic debate:
