God, I am tired of everyone here in North America being so afraid of the word "Antisemitism"! Just recently, remember, Halle Berry, makes a joke about how her nose looked like her Jewish cousin's... in Russia, we'd laugh about that joke and that would be that... in America, she was afraid that this would cost her her career! Hello, have you people even heard of the freedom of speech, that you protect so fiercely?! Come on, in Ukraine, everyone makes jokes about the "zhids". No one has a problem with it, besides a handful of rabis, to whom no-one listens...
Hell, we have a comedian in Russia, Mikhail Zadornov, he makes fun of Jews ALL THE TIME! Well, he also has great jokes about comparing Russians to other countries people, like Germans, and Americans. But that's a whole different story. Anyway, he got another trophy recently for his work. You have no idea how many anecdotes and jokes about Jews go around in Russia, Ukraine, and Poland! Like this one, I heard in Lugansk once: | Quote: | | "A Jewish man (lets call him Abram), and a his wife (Sara) are talking. She says: "Did you take out the garbage?". "Yes, Sara, I did". "How come it took you so long, you were gone for 4 and a half hours!". "Well, how long do you think it takes to sell a sack of garbage?" |
The moral of the joke is, that Jews, they will try to sell you anything, and they will do anything to make a profit! It's a predominant stereotype about Jews in Eastern Europe... It's kind of true.  I laughed, I really found that joke funny, don't know if any of you guys do, but...

I think Crabman is from England...and you are right about Jews in Eastern Europe even though that was a joke it had some truth in it. |

| I think it was a couple of years ago when I saw a documentery on the Holocaust and the interviewer asked this Old Polish woman if she missed the Jews living in the village, she said, "No not at all, they treated us Christians horrible." These feelings are everywhere in Eastern Europe where there was once a large population of Jews. |

This is one a buddy told me in Russia: "Why are Jews' noses so huge: that's because when God was handing out noses to different people, when he created them, and the first Jew came to him and asked, "God, is it for free?" God answered: "Yes". The Jew said: 'Oh, then give me the biggest one!".

Well, his true last name WAS Jzhugashvili... the "shvili" is the common ending on the last names of Georgian Jews, but that's not really a rule... more like a coincedence, really... although... who the hell knows... maybe he was. |

Some say that the last name means Jewison or Jewish son..however, I doubt it. If he had Jewish blood it was probably generations before his birth..both of his parents were strong Christians and belong to the Georgian Orthodox Church. |

I am not jewish but I have nothing against them...I would like to visit jeruselem someday. I watched Kingdom Of Heaven last night...it's an ok movie...oh and I watched enemy at the gates...it's a good one too...of course I've seen both htese movies before |
