Ok this thread is devoted to the positive experiences of teaching foriegn language at any number of the Language Schools throughout Russia. Please share any of your positive feed back regarding any and all schools.
***Note this thread is designed to promote the teaching experience through out Russia so that those wishing to work in this field can hear the good about the schools. Everyone has thier bad days...so if you've nothing positive to say then please refrain from posting in this thread. If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.
Personally I have considered teaching ESL...and would like to hear from those who have. |

| Well, judging from that other thread, I think Samantha School should be considered a good place. There has definitely been more good comments, than bad ones. |

| I noticed Mostly Brits and Americans are on your staff...are there any Canadians or Australians...or is it that the photos are limiting? I see you are from the UK. |

Well, it's not that we have anything against Canadians or Australians! Just so happens that we don't have anyone from there at the moment...
We had an Australian girl working at the school last year, though.
Yes, I'm from Leeds, England. |
So, to stray for a moment, do you find that Russians learning english dislike the American accent?
Oh, btw, you're welcome. I always did like to stand for the underdog. It's a Canadian thing. |

What difference does it make if it's American or Canadian accent? Most Russians still come away speaking with an accent. I have never heard Russians with New York accents or California accents. They sound like my parents when they talk after learning English with an accent. Unless a Russian child attended an English school taught only by Americans will it then have an American accent; what accent? One wouldn't know and who cares as long as that person can communicate in English at the end of their semester. |

rc...realize that BCBUD likes to denegrade Americans every chance he can get...I have to admit I set him up to post the way he did, I even had to re write my question...and yes he took the bait and flamed this thread. But I have to say Stephen B is absolutely right and it is a shame that BC would post what he did. But hey I knew he wouldn't be able to resist Native Russian speakers speak with a russian accent...no doubt about that |

James, you think too much. I was asking the poster, ( since he was a teacher), to answer the question of American English, or British English. If you think that's a flame, you should examine it more closely. Annnnnnnnnnnyway, I pm'd him, and asked him to post in that other thread. Please don't get nasty, and call names, ok? Relax, it;s just reality. |
