I'm a US citizen and will be marrying my Russian boyfriend in Russia. However, I am having a REALLY hard time finding out how to get a document that says that I have never been married. Apparently, the USA doesn't have such a document...

Has anyone had to do this before? And if so, how? Where do I look? What should I do?

Thanks!

Well marriages are recorded at our county registars...so check with them if they can furnish you with such a document and also get it notarized. Surely the Embassy in Russia will know what is required too.

That should do it.
Always check your own embassy first...
