Quote:
It is estimated that Russia has some 15-20 million Muslims.[143][144] Russia is also home to an estimated 3 million to 4 million Muslim migrants from the ex-Soviet states.[145] Most Muslims live in the Volga-Ural region, as well as in the North Caucasus, Moscow, St. Petersburg and western Siberia.[146] In Russia, there are more than 6,000 mosques (in 1991 it was about 150).[145] Buddhism is traditional for three regions of the Russian Federation: Buryatia, Tuva and Kalmykia.[147] Some residents of the Siberian and Far Eastern regions, Yakutia, Chukotka, etc., practice pantheistic and pagan rites, along with the major religions. Induction into religion takes place primarily along ethnic lines. Slavs are overwhelmingly Orthodox Christian.[148] Turkic speakers are predominantly Muslim, although several Turkic groups in Russia are not.[148][qoute]

LOL, you know that the French and the Germans are now the best allies, that's a very good thing I guess we have to thank the Russians for that.
1940... again and again. The French and the German army are among the best of the world, the same with our weapons.

I saw a sneak preview of the new Eurocopter the other day. I think it was called HA-91. The most advanced helicopter in the world. It's quite impressive. Nothing like that in the west, that's for sure.

Mi-28 "Nighthunter", Russia.

It has a special locator/mapping device for the pilot, allowing him to see the surroundings a kilometer away in 3d, including all enemy positions in the area.

I am watching the military channel right now and they are talking about a Russian helicopters, the KA 50...this helicopter can do summersaults and all kinds of moves. Pretty cool helicopter...

Russia is in a huge mess...demographics there is really screwed up. It is estimated that they will not be able to sustain an Army in another 50 years. Personally I see that if Putin doesn't get control of the situation...Russia will lose much of it's territory. And let's not forget the areas around the Caspian...are muslim controlled/influenced. Whether Russia likes it or not...Russia is West. Putin is Orthodox too And to the radical muslim extremist...Putin too is an Infedel. He too is about oil. The fact is the USA did not go into Russia...and buy up all the Russian infratructure and companies. Americans do not even go to Russia or care to...only some of us. The average American is only conncerned with that which the average Russian is...trying to live day to day...a good quality life. And it is hard here too...takes a lot of hard work. Many in our Government consider Russia to still be a developing Nation...one that has all this wealth and resources...yet also to be one plagued with corruption. One where the very few have the wealth and the gap between rich and poor is so very huge. One where there is no middle class. Anyways...Just hope Putin straightens it all out. Usually in hard times...it takes a strong leader...a more authoritarian leader/government. Democracies usually cannot pull nations out of problems such as those that Russia faces and is experiencing. Here just on the news I just termed Putin as being a Lame Duck President...interesting! What if Putin doesn't get his way? Ha what if Hillary doesn't win. Then the world will be interesting!

Cool down, don't take yourself for Vladimir Putin, I remind you are a simple Russian who emigrated to Canada because he was nothing in his own country.

For the rest, what Russia will do ? Declare war to USA, EU and NATO ? What a joke, you didn't have the balls to do so during the cold war.
And be sure that EU and USA will not let a dictator bully eastern countries of Europe anymore.

The EU is nothing. Did it ever use military force? Against anybody? I don't think so. There are two nations in Europe, that I respect: Britain/UK, and Germany. Without there two, there is no Europe. It all hangs on them. But everyone else, is NOTHING, and means NOTHING. Including France.

As far as comparing me to Putin, thanks, I wish I was this great man, thanks for the compliment! Laughing

Russia already is in the G8, that is why its called G8, not G7. Duh! As far as WTO, I, for one, don't think that's a good idea. It will open Russian markets to foreign companies, and destroy the home based business.

And yes, I do live in the West, but, as a citizen of Russia, I have the power of the vote, and when its time, I will go to the Honorary Council here in Vancouver, and I will cast that ballot, and you know who I am going to vote for, don't you. Not Kasparov, that's for sure. Laughing

LOOOOOOL
European Union = 31% share of the world's nominal GDP (US$15.8 trillion) in 2007.

Yes you are right, 31% is almost nothing.

Oh...what is the share of Russia in the world ? 1,7% -> what is your definition for that ? LOOOL, that's a small country like Spain do with 40 millions of inhabitants and zero mineral ressources.

European union has been created by France AND Germany, UK integrated EU only in 1973. I don't want to trash UK, but they insisted a lot before UK were allowed to be a member and we did well witout the British.

As for your respect, let me laugh, the British, the Germans like any Europeans don't give a crap of your respect.

Putin is a crook, a murderer but certainly not a great man.
There is a noticable difference between Putin and you : he stayed, you left.

No, Russia is not member of the G7, Putin is only a guest.
1,7% of the world production and member of the G7 ? What a joke Laughing

Yes, go on vote for your superhero Putin, he will have 5 years more to get richer on the back of Russian people (not you, those who stay).

Baghdad is a bustling city and the numbers of incidents are a fraction of what they once were. And do not forget...Russia stands to make huge profits off of Iraq...Putin himself said the US needs to be in there until it stabilizes. Not one of the US presidential candidates are saying we are going to pull out. That they are going to pull us out. Fact is we are there for many years to come. And Russia is set to share in the oil and gas reserves that are there. Putin is a closer ally to the west then what is on the surface. The fact is the world economy and our national economies are all based on trade...take away one major trade partner and everyone suffers. Be glad that the dollar is weak right now...it allows for foriegn economies to grow. Which right now is what is needed throughout the world. Especially for Russia. As far as American men going to Russia for women...yep i don't disagree...I would be pissed too if I was russian. Sex tours etc...marriage agencies etc...I think they are all a joke! Not my thing that's for sure. Anyways...be glad you are in Canada...I'm sure you live a better life there economically than you did in Russia...especially from the city you are from. I watched a documentary on it last week. It was made a year ago and I have to say...the aids rate, the drug and alcohol buse...the prostitution...I wouldn't want to live there. Of course I am only going off of the documentary. But still....whoa...very disturbing! And as I said I can only hope that Putin gets things under control!

I watched that same program about Russki's city, it has the largest AIDS problem per capita in Russia. Sad but true...Nevertheless, I agree with you Russki that men went to Russia for Russian brides, however, it was also European men too including Canadians. It was Russian women who were selling themselves to the men to escape poverty and a horrible life in Russia. So there shouldn't be any name calling about Americans coming for our women blah blah blah...That happens in all countries not just Russia or America. You're talking like Russians are morally clean and never did horrible things and that foreignors are abusing Russians when they were down. Well, I'm sorry to say, but your country did some nasty things to Eastern Europeans during WWII when they were down too so don't point fingers about other governments and people. You keep on saying that you don't care about other European countries only UK and Germany well you better care..because your Russian population is sinking...Russian women only give birth to 1 child compared to Muslims in Russia who are giving birth to more than 5 children. That's right there were still issues that needed to be resolved before Russia would be entered as a G8 memeber...and besides within the G8 there is the controlling G4

Yes Putin has become very...very...wealthy! So we shall see what kind of leader he will have been when all is said and done. Too...Russian Nationalism is just being used to rally the vote and to raise pride. But in reality when it comes to GEO POLITICS Russia still will go along with what the EU Demands...it has too or it will collapse. Moscow may have the most billionares out of any city...but the USA has 3 times the amount of Billionairs that Russia has. In the United states there are more than 80,000 people who are worth more than 30 million in liquid assetts. Not to mention we have a country within our country and it is called RICHISTAN...The EU and the USA are the largest consumers and importers...once we stop buying...others will collapse. Fact is russia is very lacking in so many areas. But this said...the future is there so we we shall see what will happen

I saud it before, and I say it again: I. DO. NOT. CARE. If Russia becomes Muslim in 29 years, then so it shall be. I really don't give a shit what religion it is. Let it be Orthodox, Muslim, whatever the hell they want to be. And those "Muslims" are as much a part of Russia, as Russians, they (most of them anyway, except migrants from former USSR) are indeginous people, they lived on that land for as long as the Russians have. Maybe longer. They deserve as much as the Russians. What ever happens, happens. And Stephen, please, instead of worrying about Azeris in Moscow, do worry about Mexicans who are currently filling up Texas and California, okay. In fact, from what I hear, in 50 years, 60% of America's population will be Asian, Black, or Latino. Laughing So, there.

Ahh, there goes that pompous assed American arrogance! "Yeah, we are the best! Nobody is better, richer, smarter, then the American Master Race!". Just shut the fuck up, Surfguy. I don't want to get into a pissing match with you, I actually think you are a nice fella, but don't push me, please.

Mr, wizzzzzzzzzz. You can call me names, and be over aggressive for no reason all you want. France has never won a war in its entire history. You can't change that. Everyone kicked your ass: Russia, Germany (3 times!), Britain, Spain, China, even Vietnam. Laughing And now the Arabs are beating the shit out of your police mama's boys too! I know it must hurt! Laughing Laughing Laughing

And as far as Russia not being in G8:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G8

Quote:
Group of Eight:

Canada
Prime Minister Stephen Harper

France
President Nicolas Sarkozy

Germany
Chancellor Angela Merkel
President of the G8 for 2007

Italy
Prime Minister Romano Prodi

Japan
Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda

Russia
President Vladimir Putin

United Kingdom
Prime Minister Gordon Brown

United States
President George W. Bush

Also represented

European Union
President José Manuel Barroso
President José Sócrates

The Group of Eight (GCool is an international forum for the governments of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Together, these countries represent about 65% of the world economy and the majority of global military power (7 of the top 8 positions for military expenditure[citation needed], and almost all active nuclear weapons. The group's activities include year-round conferences and policy research, culminating with an annual summit meeting attended by the heads of government of the member states. The European Commission is also represented at the meetings.

Ha too funny Russkii...You are fighting on multi fronts! Yes we need to worry about the southern border. Well perhaps those muslim russians are infact russian. Ok so why all the hostility in russia then towards the caucuses region and towards asians and the Azeies and the Turks then. Seriously that program I watched on the russian skin heads was quite disturbing! And just recently like two weeks ago there was another blak person stabbed in St Pete. Did Irkutz have this problem too. Seems like St Pete has some extreme radicals. Hey don't get me wrong...I truly think Russia is destined once again for Greatness and Putin has his work cut out for him. I hope he achieves it...and if he does then all the wealth shall have been earned by him...but I have to say if he does not then he will just be another leader who has taken advantage of the People. No different than so many other politicians world wide. We will see.

What is this, the Russki forum only?? LOL...Listen whenever someone says something about Russia you go flying off your broomstick..come down!! As far as Mexicans in California and Texas..I'm sorry to say that it has always been part of Mexico long before United States was even a country or the 13 colonies existed..So, that's no news to Americans. One minute you say that Russians is for Russians and now you are going back and forth with, 'Well, they have always lived on Russian soil',,ummm NO!! They have always lived on their own soil until Russia annexed their lands. Russki, I"m not worried about Azeri's in Moscow...I couldn't care less if Romanian gypies took over Moscow or your hometown of Irustsk. You give your opinion about America and I give my opinion about Russia. That's what is great about this forum, however, there is no need of losing your toupee over what I say. Very Happy

This is very true. The Russian women are looking to get far away from Russia. Why else would they target western men ( US and American ) so often. Doesn't seem that as many are looking for European men, does it?
I get emails all the time from Russian and Ukrainian women that are unsolicited. Why would a respectable Russian woman want a long haired dope smoking hippy? Laughing

Well certainly russian women have gone all over the world...and lets face it the USA has one of the best standards of living and the greatest chance for opportunities. Of course this said...we do have just as great of ills. Most men wanting to go to russia for women is more than likely due to American women not being interested in them. Of course there are exceptions. And I think Russian women are becoming more and more disinterested in foreign men.

I think it is the reputation that Russian men beat their women and drink too much, why would a Russian woman be any different than any other woman in this world. A woman wants stability in a man and if she is not getting it then she is going elsewhere to look for it. Women have always depended on the man to bring home the bacon and if they are not, stay drunk and the good ones are not around then she is going to go and find it. Who wants to deal with limits all the time. So if Russia has not what a woman wants in a man and if he does nothing but drink and the men who are not available that don't drink then what should she do? Go somewhere else. American men have always had the reputation of treating women good, but can be bossy ( including MOST southern men) and maybe a Russian woman wants that too, but those American men who marry Russian women think they are going to get a woman they can mistreat because they are taking care of them, don't think you are looking for a weak woman because my friend is assertive and smart, she talk to me about some of the Russian brides who came to America, Russian women are smart and because they want stability financially doesn't mean they are going to be pushed around or bossed 24/7...American men think they are going to get a gofer like this when they go over there, think again because Russian women won't be bossed and under appreciated like the American women.

Just my two cents, if that makes sense... Laughing
