Hi, this is probably another stupid question on my part and I apologize, but I am having trouble figuring out what to write on the visa application for "name/address/email/fax/phone number of institution/organization to be visited in Russia". I got a voucher and invitation thru WTR for a tourist visa and put down 3 places that I will visit (SPB, Velikiy Novgorod, and Moscow, though I will be staying mainly in SPB the whole time). On the invitation it lists "Sputnik", "Neva", and Beresta Palace" as where I'll be staying. No address/phone, etc. What exactly should I put down? Do I just put down the main service (IntelService Centre) address?

Thanks a lot!

Anna

I simply did an internet search for hostels in the city of choice... picked one and listed their info. The consulate never mentioned it.

Hmm....thanks. So you just randomly selected a hostel and put their info down on the application, right? Didn't your voucher list the name of the place(s) where you were to stay at? Or did it and you just faked their addresses/info? Razz Also, what country processed your visa? If in the U.S., which embassy was it?

Thanks and sorry for the multiple questions! I'm just worried and have little time to get this visa done.

San Francisco...also...you do not have to stay at a hotel or hostel...that you list on your application. But put down one...make it legit...if there is a problem they will just ask you for a reservation...you'll be fine

My invitation provided through WTR did not "Intercenter Service" or something like that anyways. I noted their address and contact information as the business I was visiting (as mine is a business Visa), then did a hostel search in Moscow, the city where "Intercenter Service" is located and chose a random one to place on my application.

My Visa was processed in SF and was as simple as pie. In fact, I was rather bewildered knowing how painful things like this can be in Russia. The staff however was kind and quick. It probably only took me 20 minutes to have my same day Visa processed.

One thing to mention, I would suggest your only noting on the application the destination cities listed on your invitation. When I order my invitation, I gave them six cities to list. My invitation only however reflected three. SPB, the city I am flying into was not one of them. However, the invitation company suggests that none of this is a problem. Just get your visa, then stay where you want.

I just obtained my Visa on Tuesday and therefore this is all still very fresh in my mind. Therefore, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me further.

That is awesome on the same day visa! Cool...and yes you will have no problems getting to SPB. When are you leaving? I leave on the 29th. Just hope my renewed passport gets to me in time. SF Russian Consulate is really efficient...I've used them 4 times and never had a problem.

I fly in on Thursday the 13th. My house sale finalized yesterday. My job begins in January. Everthing has fallen into place.

Now I just have to finish packing my shit!

I can't wait!

If you're interested, hit me up when you arrive and we can head out for a drink... or many!

My only concern is that I am entering on a 90-day double entry business visa obtained through WTR. I will then have to have this replaced with one sponored by my employing school come mid January. The school states that as I am not in a 6mo-12mo visa, I can still cross the border to Estonia to have this done. I fear however that I may be required to return to the states to have this completed. Crossing my fingers...
