I shall initially be staying in a hostel located around the corner from the Hermitage. As I have only spent 2-3 weeks at a time visiting SPB in the past, I never expanded much beyond kebabs for my meals. Now with a long term stay, I will be in need of finding local, inexpensive markets or bazars in the city center to purchase my food from. Therefore, any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I will be looking for a new pair of dress shoes with appropriate winter soles and a brand of boots called "RALF" (I understand styled like my Doc Martins but better for the Russian climate). Thanks for any advice you may be able to offer.

Earned TELF/TESOL certificate through independant organization... then applied for position on line. No previous teaching experience or degree required. Though of course, this is preferred.
