However, here are some places to study Engineering in Russia outside of Moscow and St Petersburg in the areas that you suggested that have foreign students departments: Volgograd State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering vgasa.ru/eng/index.php Ural State Technical University ustu dot ru Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering ksaba dot ru Kazan State Technical University kai dot ru Kazan State University ksu dot ru Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University nntu.nnov dot ru Yaroslavl State University uniyar.ac dot ru Also consider: Tomsk Polytechnic tpu dot ru This is one of the top universities in Russia Novgorod State University novsu dot ru Don't know what the education is like here, but it would be a nice place to live. If you are looking for nature to explore in your time off then the best places to go would be: Irkutsk State Technical University (Baikal) istu dot edu Petrozavodsk State University (Karelia) petrsu dot ru Do you want to do a whole undergraduate degree there? Do you speak Russian? a friend was telling me that it would be a bad idea to stay in and near the urals cause of all the nuclear materials that are stored there? can i get your opinion on the urals, cause i like ekaterinburg but not sure of the nuclear stuff. btw i liked ekaterinburg, nizhniy novgorod, petrozavodsk and izhevsk
