Hello everyone,

I will be in Russia from May till September this year: so for a period of 4 months.The company which i will work with in Moscow said that it would be best to apply for a 3month single entry visa and then i would change the 3 month single entry visa into a 12 multiple entry visa whilst in Russia ...I didn't quite understand..could someone please explain?

After my 3months in Russia, do i have to leave the country to then extend my visa??..

Do you get a working permit?

Then the info they tell you is right.. This is the new procedure..
So you get a working visa for 12 months (which means you pay taxes in Russia and are officially working here)..

If you don't, then I am not sure, but I guess it is not possible the way they say it. Then you should go out of the country and get a new visa, which should not be possible because of the 90 out of 180 days rule, but I understood that it is possible or you should get a second passport and get the visa in the other passport..

Yes that is correct, i would be getting a working visa...so because of that i don't need to fly out of the russia? The visa will just be converted into a 12month multiple entry visa upon arrival, right?
