I have met so many (Swedish) old farts dating young girls, and when the girls have stood up with 2 years of the cr*p they divorce. That is true as you claim PH.
But if the guy is a 67 yo semi-alcoholic living on welfare, why should a 25 yo lady from SPb be interested in spending the rest of her life with his bad breath and poor sexual performace. Unless she's a "авантуристка".
We (my wife and I) talked about writing a book "How to date Westeners/How to date Russian ladies", and the main advice was to really know the person you are dating, picking out one the same age, the same ground with the same interests. My wife are the same age, come from a similar middle-class background and share much opinions. We never rushed to get married, instead, took a long time to decide.
If Western men zipped up their pants and kept them zipped and started to use the hairy thing between the shoulders, we would see much less of divorces and abuse. On the other hand, the kind of men I referred to on top, should never be allowed to "import" women from any country.

| old men go to russia and the UkraINE, pRAGUE...ALL THESE PLACES SO THEY CAN GET A YOUNGER MORE BEAUTIFUL WIFE...REALLY THESE MEN ARE VERY SELF CENTERED PEOPLE and should be avoided. But too the women are equally to blame for allowing this to happen. Let's face it this has been going on long enough now for all the people involved to be educated and smart enough to know about what and who they are getting involved with and in. |

What do you mean a 25 year old woman from SPB dating a 67 year old western man with bad breath and poor sexual performance. I don't think any woman from any where will date a 67 year old with all those bad qualities. No American woman wants a man like this. These type of men who go to other countries are the ones who are mostly pedifiles and these women in other countries do not know the back grounds of these men. They do not have a clue that most of them have serious issues. Foreign women don't run back ground checks on these guys. The girls either are out to get out or they have a plan to marry and then leave. These type of men cannot get an American wife because we already know their history and they have done jail time as well(more than likely child abuse). If a 67 year old western man is looking to marry a 18 or 25 year woman, then he has no doubt sexually abused a child one time or another. Yuck! I cannot imagine a wrinkly old fart climbing on top of me.

I exaggerated slightly, but I've seen a few examples. And most of the Russian/Swedish couples we know have a difference in age by 10-15 years.
As I wrote (and as many others have written), many Russian women take any chance to get into the Dallas real-world super soap opera, by marrying ANYONE. Not all, but some does.
And I know about Swedes that are importing loads of young women and kick them out just short of 2 years (else the girls get a permit to stay) and get a new one. The immigration authorities can do nothing but grant the next poor girl a permit to enter into Sweden. That's how our "fine" laws work. |

US was doing the same thing and the poor girl gave up her life to be with this man. The whole thing is like an arranged marriage in which both parties really do not know each other. The usual courting period in the USA is about 2-3 years in which each knows each other very well, but this is based on a better life and young fertile wife. That is all it is.
Sneg, no I am not Russian. but keep on guessing and buying the lottery tickets, who knows you might win. |

Hello everyone. It's nice to see a good variety of views here 
Just some information I'd like to share. I'm 24 and my fiancee is 25. We have been with each other many times in trips over the years, we call each other every morning and evening, daily, and we talk on ICQ when she's at work -- she provides credits to clients in shops and ICQ is used to communicate with other colleagues and managers. I trust that our relationship is sincere and we both cannot wait to begin a new chapter in our lives.
I know some may have doubts about our relationship but I am as careful as anyone can be. We have known each other for a long time and she never considered having a relationship with me until we first met in person in our first trip. She loves Russia and have always said that she'd prefer to live in Chita, but of course it would be impossible if we wanted to be together.
Anyhow, I have to go out for a bit. Cheers, everyone. |

Well I ended up emailing consular officer, Natasha Bulgakova. She cut and pasted the following to the reply.
So from reading this, I can do EVERYTHING in Moscow. From my prior research (may be outdated) I had to get the declaration of non-impediment to marriage aboard in Canada. If what she has given me is 100% up to date then it is more convenient for me to do everything in Moscow.

A Marriage letter (Sworn declaration) has to be signed by the Canadian Consul/Officer, and then the signature of the Consul officer has to be authenticated by the Legalisation Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs which has an office ONLY IN MOSCOW (see point 4 for details). http://www.canadianemabassy.ru
Please note the Marriage letter issued by the Canadian Embassy has the date on it - the letter will be valid for the Russian authorities for 3 months only - if the date on the letter is May 10, it will be valid for the Russian authorities only until September 10 even if it has a stamp of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs dated later then the Embassy date. So, make sure that you use this letter before the date of expiry. Once the letter expires, you will not be able to get married and you need to obtain another letter and legalise it at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
We accept clients every day, except Saturday and Sunday and statutory holidays, from 9:00 to 15:00 (lunch time is from 13 to 14) tel. 105-6000. Embassy web site: canadianembassy.ru The Marriage letter will be issued for you in English and Russian. The transliteration of your name should be identical to that on your Russian visa. The cost is $CAN 50, or the equivalent in rubles (1 300 rubles as of November 2007).
3.OBTAIN AN OFFICIAL TRANSLATION OF THE INFORMATION PAGE OF YOUR PASSPORT. (same day service) The necessary translation can be obtained at any translation office in Russia or in Canada (the only requirement is that the transliteration of your name should be identical to that on your Russian visa and should be the same as in your Marriage declaration). Translation made by the Canadian Embassy in Moscow is also acceptable. You do not need to authenticate, legalise the signature on the translation, just submit it to the Marriage office. The fee for translation of the Canadian passport is 15 CAD or 400 rub as of November 2007.
Fees are subject to change without notice. Please contact the Consular section for an update.
4. HAVE THE SIGNATURE OF THE CANADIAN CONSUL/VICE CONSUL/CONSULAR OFFICER ON A MARRIAGE LETTER ISSUED BY THE EMBASSY IN MOSCOW (NON-IMPEDIMENT DECLARATION) AUTHENTICATED AT THE DEPARTMENT OF LEGALISATION, CONSULAR SERVICES OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS of the RUSSIAN FEDERATION in MOSCOW (has to be submitted to the Ministry by a Canadian citizen ONLY IN PERSON as the Ministry has to verify that you have valid Russian visa and valid registration with the Russian authorities). PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT WITHOUT THE LEGALISATION STAMP OF THE RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS (HERE IN MOSCOW) A MARRIAGE LETTER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE RUSSIAN MARRIAGE OFFICES.
This service is performed ONLY IN MOSCOW by the Department of Legalization , Consular Services of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation LOCATED ONLY IN MOSCOW, at First Neopalimovskiy pereulok, 12a, nearest metro station "Part Kultury", then 2 stops by trolleybus # 10 or #B at the direction of Smolenskaya Square. Telephone: 7-495-244-37-97.
The hours of operation are:
Monday - Thursday, 10:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 17:00 and
Friday - from 10:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 16:00 (tel 244-3797).
Please contact the office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at 7-495-244-37-97 before your go there about processing time and fees (are subject to change by the Russian MFA without notice). You can also ask your Russian fiancee/fiance to call the MFA at 7-495-244-37-97.
5. GET MARRIED AT THE CIVIL REGISTRY OFFICE (ZAGS) After completing the first fours steps, please contact any local Marriage office (ZAGS) in the place where your fiancée is residing /registered (in Russian this abbreviation means - Zapis Aktov Grazhdanskogo Sostoyaniya). In Moscow you can contact the Marriage office at the following address: Palace of Weddings (for foreigners) , 17 Butyrskaya St. Moscow, Telephone 7-495-685-1960, 685-7988, 685-06-94 where you have to submit the above mentioned documents and your passport. The ZAGS will issue a Marriage certificate for you once you get married. It means that your marriage is legal for Canada. Please note that notarized copy with certified translation of your Russian marriage certificate will be sufficient to submit Immigration sponsorship application and will be acceptable for the Immigration authorities.
6. Once you are married, you may contact the Immigration Canada for information about family class sponsorship for your spouse, or Immigration/Visa web site: www.cic.gc.ca. where you can see the instructions how to prepare the documents to submit sponsorship for your spouse - for Immigration purposes you need a notarised copy with certified translation of a Russian document (for example Russian birth certificate, Russian marriage certificate, Russian diploma, etc).
Please note that the Consular section is not dealing with Immigration issues and can not facilitate contacts with the Embassy Visa and Immigration Section

Ok, how about divorces between PEOPLE ALL OVER IN THE WORLD?! Bullshit. When will the women of Russia admit that the life they lead in their own country is much as their responsibility as the men.
Again Bullshit stats, there is more young men then women almost 10% more. Only when it is above the age 35 is there more women than men. Again more bullshit for your excuse to shit on your own men and why they left your country.
One paragraph you say that Russian men cheat on their wives and that is why many seek another country, then the next is that your good friend is divorcing an American, because he cheated on her. Guess what, it is the same everywhere!!!!
Only difference is MONEY or/lifestyle. Why would a young lady leave her country to marry an older man? There is just as many if not more nice men her age in Russia. They are just as likely to cheat on their wives. Plus they will leave their families, friends, and culture. The only great benefit is MONEY or/lifestyle. Guess what there are just as many pleasant women in the USA, but they are little older and due to age they are not as attractive as they were once were. So why do men search? they want the domesticated sexy young Russian bride. These are the men who on sex tours to the Philopines and Thailand.
True love exists when two people actually properly date each for a long period of time and not via computer, web camera or telephone. You know real feeling, emotions and true love.
So stop spewing out this marriage proproganda. |

Some people do not like go to bar ! Some people is too shy... You are so right, it is the same everywhere. Men can be so superficial when it comes to women. It is in our nature to want a nice home life. Do you think they will ever understand us? Russian or American or whatever? |
