Okay, so from what I have understood, NO one can get a visa into Russia from outside their home country or a country that they have residency in for over 90 days.
I am from the US. I will be traveling and planned to get my visa in Thailand or Cambodia. I will not be in the US within the 90 days before I visit Russia. What do I do? I am doing the Trans siberian railroad. I am in a panic. Do they not realize how difficult this will be for people? Ahhhh.
So, there has to be a way around this. Help!! |

| I can't give a definite answer about this, but I know the rule is being applied inconsistently. I assume you'll be stopping in Shanghai - I know a guy managed to get a transit visa at the Shanghai consulate when I was there last month. Try to contact the Russian consulates in every place you'll be stopping and see if they're willing to do it for you. And if you find one, please let us know. |
