Okay...whatever you say. That's silly to treat me like a idiot. I was there with my father and we both saw it. How much does it take to convince people things of this sort really does happen. We are talking Las Vegas. Sin City. Anything goes there. |

I have never heard of people losing kidneys in Las Vegas...and I never saw this on the news either. I highly doubt it. And waking up on ice with a kidney missing...come now Jo you can't be serious here?
OK women in Russia searching for men...well I think the numbers of those seeking to leave russia is becoming less and less. we are no longer in the 1990s |

Surgeon: "Nurse, any idea where this kidney came from?"
Nurse: "Yeah, Wanda, the whore who works the strip across from Bally's. This morning she came to the back door and had a cooler full of them. I only had to pay her $10,000 each, plus a bottle of Rohypnol and a few used scalpels. I hope that was ok."
Surgeon: "Good initiative, nurse! Hmmm, I wonder what she wanted the scalpels for..." |

Surfguy, if you have nothing and brought up that you are nothing, then you are easily convinced to risk things. These trafficker know who to pick on and they find these broken women with little self esteem and finish them off by trafficking them.
Lilya 4-ever, do not forget that the young boy who died in this movie also. When you such things in real life and go back to your life that you were complaining about. Life is not that bad. |
Paul, I know this post is old, but did you see the movie "Human Trafficking"? It is mostly shown on the American women's channel "LMN" or Life time for women. This is a 3 1/2 hour movie based on a true story. Russian Mafia trafficked Women and children from Russia, Prague, America, China, to Netherlands, Russia ect...this is on now. If you are interested...very sad, scary movie... |

Read just first 2 pages couldn’t bear any more. Sound like loads of guys here were hurt and now they are bitter about all women full stop. To be satisfied they want to get a woman who will tolerate their behaviour in all forms, who will not say a word when he is out with friends all night while she is sitting with kids, he wouldn’t lift a finger helping her out. She is cooking for him all day but as soon as he gets in he is like “do you call THAT a dinner?” …gosh, sounds like a sort of people from “Wife swap”))) People, the only women left like these are women with very low self estime that think they have to tolarate all this because they can’t find anyone else, do you need a person like this or do you need a PERSON who can challenge you, who can have intelligent conversations etc etc. The girl described in a first post sounds like TIPICAL russian girl from a REMOUTE town/small city that didn’t go to uni (I mean not that bright). I never met such girls in SPb or Moscow or any big cities in russia becvause they all go to uni and just wouldn’t behave like this. Or maybe she is still a bit childish? How old is she? I mean it sounds like when I was 16 and had to ask my friends what to do with my boyfridn.
It amazes me though, all these stories I read about men from mid west with “american dream” to come to russia and “rescue” this girl from the slams (ha ha when averge salary in Moscow is now like $1-2000/month) and then they are complaining about them once they are in america together that she doesn’t like living in his camper van (I’m not jokking I read such complains on a different forum) or even worst, the amount of girls going to the rescue centres in america to escape abusive american husbands is unbelievalbe, I’m not having a go at americans, it’s just I read the statistics and haven’t heard of even existance of such centres in Europe, not sure about canada. I’m not saying you are like this, I’m just saying there is this stereotype that russian women bear everything and no matter what they won’t complain, and when these guys receive the girl that has her own oppinion they are all dissapointed.
I must dissapoint you, every girl that has a bit of education and self estime won’t tolerate things like that. And I think putting off having children for several years is a modern russian thing as well (people used to give birth at 18 like my mom) but now my friends are 25-27 and only couple of them have a kid. The purpose of life is not in having children in early age? Or do you want her to have kids early so that she can stay at home and you can be sure she won’t find anybody else more interesting then you? Then you have problems with your own self estime.
I think it doesn’t matter what country are you from, people are different, there are loads of “up themselves” girls in russia just as in america, france or japan. But at the same time there are load of “feminine” once (it doesn’t mean that “up themselves” can’t be feminine, I really think you don’t know what feminine means), they like to take care of themselves and look good. It doesn’t mean they have lipstick on at all times (I’m feminine but I don’t like to wear lipstick, it’s messy) or heels (heels don’t look good with gym gear when I’m at the gym or with jeans when I want to go for a walk, does it make me “not feminine”?). What about Scarlett Johanson? Is she not feminine enough? She is american. What about Kate Beckinsale, she is british, she is feminine?
You just have to accept that people are different and you have to meet “your” no matter what country is she from. Guys have this stereotype about russian women that’s complitaly out of touch, maybe there is SOME truth in it but just like a stereotype that in russia you get bears walking the streets drinking vodka it’s not entirely true…
I’m sorry, I think I got carried away and was being a bit harsh, I have a close friend who had a very bad experience with a foreign guy that turned out to be a complete wanker. So you know it’s not you can’t judge every person like that, I’m sure the rest of Canadians are lovely but it’s just hers that was a complete tosser that ruined her life. |

Yeah take one side of story . The fact is that these relationships are based on problematic interaction from long distance and culture and that Russian people are not all the same as matrishoka dolls either.
Plus in the USA, many say anything like abuse to get away from that the old man they married and marry a younger man. But also many Westerners marry a young one thinking she is going to be a cross between June Cleaver and Linda Lovelace.
It is basically BS. I suggest they marry a good Russian men and stay in their country. At least they will have the support system of their familiy and friends and do not have a cultural shock. |

Why did your friend marry a Canadian in the first place? Usually BS that all Russian men are drunks or that there is no good men in Russian and rest of the crap they spew out.
There is two marriages I have seen in which a foreigner goes over and works there for a long period of time and falls in love, this marriage works, because they know each other and true feeling about each other.
Other is the Young Golddigger marries the old pedophile. It is an use use situation.
What pisses me off is that women blame everything on the poor Russian man and that it is his fault for everything, while they refuse accept that they are just as responsible for the life they lead. What also pisses me off is the man blames everything on the Western woman, while they are getting just fat and ugly and unattractive, they blame the woman for everything . Fact is that it is a majority about sex and money with a bunch of bullshit to make an excuse to be horrible users. |

well, they were in love like most of the people that get married.
I love russian men! i think they are great.
but there is not enough of them! there is 48% of men and 52% of women in russia and it's sad to watch so many beautiful women being lonely! I think by the time you are 40 the balance probably changes to 80% lonely women and 20% lonely men... At the same time in Ireland for example 55%men and 45% women, that's where they all need to go!
There is a saying in russia (think it's an old russian song that was turned into this saying), it goes something like "girls stay by the walls of the dancing room (meaning is that nobody invites them for a dance) because according to statistics on every 10 girls there are 3 gays, 4 alcoholics, 2 druggies and 1 great guy but he is married". |

Hi there, June Cleaver is a fictional "perfect housewife" from the 1950's tv show Leave it to Beaver. I forget who Linda Lovelace was...sorry. The "perfect" housewife of the 1950's stayed home, never stood up for herself or did anything much for herself, never made decisions for the household, etc. but was a great cook and good mother. Sheez. I think I can do that and still stand up for myself and have a life. ha.
If you really want to know...I think tvland.com would have info on those characters. TVLand is a US tv channel that shows only retro shows/sitcoms.
I do feel I should point out that some gentlemen on this board have posted complimentary comments on women...so I don't think it's all the guys who are complaining. |

Sorry again that is crap. There is more young men than young women and that is ages up to 25. THere is more men than women up to the age of 35, then it changes the other way.
Only 1out of 9 are alcoholics which is only double than the USA and most of that is village life.
It is just BS for what they really want which is live a Western lifestyle.
Love of each other or a wealthy life and beautiful young bride? |

| I have heard that men have paid 10K to find a woman in Russia. People are generally there for the wrong reasons. I know successful relationships, but they were based on long term companionship and meetings. But I have witness some of the most loveless relationships I have ever seen in my life. |
