I assume you are talking about trains. First class cabins have two berths, second class kupes have four berths. I have never seen a three berth cabin. More information about where you are going and where you got your tickets might be helpful, but it seems something may have been lost in translation.

Hi Camarks, yes, sorry, Im talking about the 1st class cabin on the train from Moscow to UB. Here is the reason I am asking:

Agency: We have issued 3 tickets in 3-berth compartment for you from Moscow to Ulan Bator.

Me: I thought the cabins were all 2 berth or 4 berth? Is a 3 berth something new?

Agency: They also sell 3-berth cabins but not on every train.

So as you can see, I am being told there is a 3 berth cabin, and I cannot find any info anywhere about that....? This is from one of the recommended agencies, so I do trust them, but I cant find any info... Confused

I have found the information about 3-berth cabins. First – good thing – such cabins really exist. People who have tried it say all three berths are put on the one wall so it isn’t very comfortable. Each cabin has a small washing-stand.

Thanks very much for your reply Eugenia! I am glad you confirmed it, but I am curious why these cabins are not advertised at all and no one ever comments on them. Were you able to find any pictures of the cabin?

I tried to find any pictures of these cabins but without any success. They are seemed to be quite rare that's why there is not much advertising and much infor4mation about it.
