Hi, im curious about one thing i have faced the past week. Im from Dominican Republic, and i visited Russia 1 year ago on winter time. My girlfriend (who lives in russia) went to a sponsor office and made them issue an invitation for me, so as soon as i receive it in my country i took it to the local russian consulate and got my visa in 15 days.
Im planning to visit russia once again this year, so i went through the same process, but this time when my girlfriend tried to made me an invitation they refused because of my nationality, according to her, people at this office told her that my country belongs to the "Risky Group of countries"
Had russian visa regulations changed since 2006? And i'm wondering why is my country under such category. Anyway she went to another office and they issue the invitation without problems, now i just received the invitation and soon i will go to consulate to issue the visa. My question is, will i have problems getting the visa or already with the visa, will i have problems while entering to Russia? Im very worry now cuz this time the invitation process didnt went as smooth as the last time i went there.
Thanks in advance! |

No. It is just an opinion of a private company that have a business in invitations. |

| I was refused an Invitation once from an obscure office in Ufa. No explanation was given except " It happens sometimes". |
