|

Hello again, everyone! I'm wondering if it would be better for me to open a bank account in Piter and just wire transfer money into that account from my State-side bank to save on ATM charges. I'll be in Piter from the end of May through mid September, and I'm told taking cash out from an ATM on a regular basis is necessary. I'd save a lot of money by just getting an account with a Russian bank, no?
Also, if it's worth the hassle for a 4 month stay, which bank would be best to go with?
Many thanks! |

| When I looked into wiring money to Russia, my bank always wanted $50 or more to do this. I quickly determined that ATM fees are much lower unless one is transfering large sums of money. Your bank may have a different fee structure. Good luck, |
