Posted: Mon Apr 21, 2008 12:53 am    Post subject: Customs - Requirements for travel to USA hello all - I have a nice girl traveling to the US on a tourist visa. She is from Mariy El, Orshanka. We have been in communication for some time and I thought we had worked out all of the details...? Now she is apparently stuck because she has been told that she must show $3400.00 in USA dollars to customs before she can travel here... It that so? I assume this is to prevent crime and so forth... If it is I need to work out more details with her.. Are their any other concerns that I might be interested in. I really appreciate your prompt response to this matter. Thank you very much, Billy C.

There is no such cash requirement but this particular con turns up again and again. Or if you don't believe it, wire her the money and then see if she shows up.......
