Hello! I've reserved a ticket and was informed it will be available for pickup at Leningradsky station. My train will be leaving from Yaroslavsky station though. Looking at Google maps, I see that they're next to each other.

Has anyone had any experience at these stations? How much time should I leave myself between arriving at Leningradsky and when my train departs from Yaroslavsky? My train departs at around 4:30 pm on a Thursday. Should I expect long lines at either station? Would a couple of hours be sufficient?

Thanks, any advice is appreciated!

hey there!

You're right, the stations are right next to each other. Getting from the ticket counter at leningradsky to your train at yaroslavsky should not take you much time IF YOU EXACTLY KNOW WHERE TO GO. But the train stations are quite confusing. Plan time to find the ticket counters (10-15 minutes).
When you pick up ypur ticket at leningradsky you should plan 30-45 minutes in line (make it an hour an you'll be fine). Then find your way to yaroslavsky, another 30 minutes, worst case.
Udachi!

Thanks so much for the reply!

By any chance do you know how far in advance the trains usually start boarding? Not really that important, mostly just curious.

No more that 30 minutes before departure normally, and they are very prompt on departure time.
