Can anyone tell me what I can expect with the Washington DC embassy? I live in Ohio, which is in their jurisdiction.. I am trying to fill out my application now, though I don't understand some of the questions.. And once I get my invite I need to send it there. What sucks, is that my invite is supposed to be done on Aug 12th. My flight is booked for 7am on September 04.

Am I going to have time to get my VISA. I am so worried about the time, but even more worried that I will miss something, or forget to dot an i, or some paperwork will be missing or not what they want.. And there is surely NO TIME for them to reject it and me resubmit it.

I have seriously never been this nervous about anything in my life!!!! Traveled all over the world and never had to worry about stuff like I am now... And I can't find a human at all to walk me through this or talk to me on the phone about it. I have called the embassy 5 times, and can't figure out how to speak to an actual human....

If somoene in Russia wishes to help me, (IE, at WTR, offices) I will gladly call you or anyone for that matter... I can not afford to lose the couple grand I have already spent on this trip....

Thank you all very much!!!!

Visaconnections.com will process your visa for a fee. They are expensive, but they are the best for the whole show.

Thanks Paul... that's my problem though.. I JUST have enough for the embassy fees.. I started my own company a few months ago, and things have not gone very well as it deals with driving in a 400 mile range every day... Gas is killing me and if were not for my dad putting money on my credit card once I am there, I would be living off my fiance...which I do NOT want to do..

I have looked into a few of those companies..there is one here locally in Cincinnati, but again, that's an extra 150-250 bucks that I simply don't have. And I mean DON't have.. (no kidding, I counted my change jar to get the 130 for the embassy fee.. LOL)

Oh..one more thing.. I looked at that page.. it looks like it is just a web site for advertising other web sites.... ????

Hey, just a quick question... While it may not matter at all, there is a line that asks about volunteer organizations and such.. Just leave it blank? Or put in stuff like donate to cancer society, red cross, volunteer with inner city kids, etc...

Just wondering

Maybe they want to see if you'll list a NGO (non-governmental organization) on that particular line.
