| Anyone know the price for a taxi from city center to the airport? I'm talking about if I call for a taxi by phone. What would be the average price? |

You can prebook a taxi from this site for Piter and it is the best deal you are going to get if you do not know any Russian and look like you do not belong.
You will not need to call for a taxi, because there will be 30 "Vor" lined up to over charge you.
Prebook from here or the hotel will help you. |

| It depends on the city district. If you're booking a taxi the price would be in approx 500-1500. |

My Russian is good enough to deal with taxi people. I was given a number to a taxi company 333-3233. Anyone know of this company? |

And what district is the city center near Vladimirskaya metro station? Is that near the 500 or 1500 price range?? |

Hello, I will visit St. Petersburg in a couple days. I looked at this site for airport transfers, but it says it is disabled. The year for transfers end in 2006. Can you help me please? My Russian is limited. Is there a taxi company you recommend? I will need to go from Pulkovo 2 to Nevsky Grand Hotel.
Thank You |

try these:
www.autoarendaspb.ru/index-eng.html
www.dailyexpress.ru/taxi-st-petersburg-russia.php
I do not know whether these are good and/or reliable - I've just found them
In the worst case you'll be able to take a taxi from Pulkovo-2 itself - there's a taxi office to the left of the exit from the luggage retrieval room.
Though last time I used their services it was TWICE more expansive. But at least they are surely speaking English there.
One more variant you can try is to book a transfer from your hotel. I'm sure Nevskiy Grand Hotel has such service. |

If someone is looking for a decent taxi company, I recomment to call 007. I love this service because I can also call the same number to get a plumber or anything.
From the international airport to the station Moskovskaya, it will be about 500 or a bit less. From the national airport (if you're flying from Moscow), it will be about 100 more. If you want to go straight to the city center of course it will be more but still very reasonable.
For a bit more comfort, call Taxi Blues:+7(812)321 8888. Also very reliable, with just better cars, drivers can be a bit nicer. And the price will still be much lower than the crazy rates the taxi mafia asks for: about 30% more than 007 if I remember well= about half the price of the taxi mafia, with incomparably better service and security. |
