What is the cheapest way (for a Russian) to travel between Moscow and Istanbul? My friend had been flying by cargo plane at around $75 (one way) but this is no longer possible. My friend makes this journey every two months.

I flew to Istanbul from Moscow and back on Aeroflot for $325 roudtrip last June.
