I got a work visa. But my Russian name in the Visa is not the same as the invitation letter because the embassy think that my Russian name was not be translated correctly in the LOI.
I am afraid that I will be blocked in the Moscow airport while passing the passport control.
Can anybody here give me some advice?
3x!

While I have not heard of this exact situation before, I believe the invitation is to get the visa. If they gave you a visa, I don't think you will have any problems. There is no universal way to transliterate to/from Russian. I have seen many instances where a name was transliterated one way and then back again, ending with something very different than what was started with. My adopted daughter's name on her passports and various immigration forms appeared many different ways (in Russian and English), but we never had any problems. Good luck.

The Letter of Invitation only serves to obtain a visa. Once the visa is acquired, the Letter of Invitation is an irrelevant document.

You have no need to carry the Invitation and no one will ever ask to see it. Just part of the paperwork process for the visa.
