Hi all, i live in Russia from some months, And i'm looking to rent a one-room apartment in the centre of Saint-Petersbourg. I took a look to many russian sites, but i find only agency, which ask high commissions. May you suggest me smth? thanks in advance

give up if only you're not willing to go to the street with a pack of classifieds and a bottle of glue, there's no other way to rent an appartment in SPb without an agent.

FYI: The commision nowadays is the same as one monthly payment. They have it in the contract template.

You might try go to the web site Vkontakte.ru, maybe .com, can't remember which and ask about renting a flat. The site also has an English beta format. I have never used an agency to find a flat, never stayed in a hotel, but one hostel, and I have spent maybe six years altogether in Russia.
