Hi

Does anyone know how up to date the information on this site is likes prices etc?

Im trying to plan a trip along the Golden Ring route:

Moscow - Vladimir - Suzdal - Kostrama - Yaroslavl - Rostov - Pereslavl - Moscow

The prices quoted seem so cheap I'm reluctant to believe it.

This page http://www.waytorussia.net/GoldenRing/GoldenRing.html
suggests it can be done on around £80.00 including food, accommodation, transport.

Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm plannng the trip for around 10 people so it's really important I get the costings right.

Thanks.

When I opened yandex and asked it about ãîñòèíèöà â ñóçäàëü
it came up with something like (price: weekdays/weekends)
ÍÎÌÅÐ: 6-8÷åë. (7-8÷åë.) 7000-8000ð. 8000-8500ð.
It seems to be more or less up-to-date ( (c)2005-2008 on the page )

The golden circle is known to be cheaper than Moscow / Pieter.

It seems that prices like the ones you posted here are completely "normal" for those cities.

Good luck!

Those prices are a joke.
Why would you want to take the bus, stay in the crapiest hotels and barely eat enough to survive while travelling?
If you want to enjoy the trip: take the train, stay at decent hotels (40 dollars per room might be acceptable), get some decent food and it will cost about 3 times more, still very reasonable for such a trip.

edited to add: the page you referred to mentions that those prices are valid if you're trying to spend as little as possible. In those days of trouble you don't want to go to "hotels" charging 10 dollars per night. By the way it's likely to be a dorm, where you won't get any sleep. Well if you do don't say you haven't be warned.
I mentioned 40 dollars, I don't know exactly, I just know that a good hotel would be 100 dollars.

I have to collect info about the Golden Circle as well, since I'm "dying" to spend 1 week - 10 days doing it.
