No, you don't have to declare any of that and don't even mention that the Ipod is a gift.

Go through the green channel (not blue) as long as you are not carrying anything restricted or more than $3000 cash.

In Russia there is a roaring trade in pirated software and movies so you will probably add to your collection before you leave.

It is the US customs you should be afraid of. THEY are now taking laptop disk images and try to search for the pirated soft/media. THEY do open the suitcases and search for restricted items. In case you lock your suitcase they will ask you to unlock it or give them the code/keys or the will break the lock.
I've never heard about Russian customs doing something like that.

As for your valueables - it's ok to bring them and go through the green channel.
