Hey guys,
As i understand, russian legislation does not allow passports to be sent via mail to other countries. And since im left with no alternative, im gonna have to come to Moskow myself, to pick up the visa from an embassy, located in the center of Moskow. I would like to do this in one day, so if my plane gets in Domodedovo at 9.15 i have until 12 noon to get to the Center of Moskow to receive my visa. What would be the quickest and most reliable way to get there on time? Ive heared there are big car jams at the entrance of Moskow in the mornings... what would be the best day to do this?

Thank you in advance for you help Smile

Vick

I have no idea what kind of visa issue you're on about?

But there is an express train from Domodyedovo to the Paveletskay Metro station. Quickest way into town from the airport.

Don't take a cab. If there is traffic jam, you can be stuck for hours. IMHO Express train to Paveletskaya Subway station is the best way to go.

I like the "Sober Driver" link on the logitaxi.ru site. At first glance it seemed like they were promoting it as a selling point, rather than a special service...

UPS and DHL will check what is in your enveloppe. Other courier company won't.
edited to add: sorry i didn't realize there is an additional problem. You need to have your passport picked up by someone you trust completely, then send it.
If youhave to do that ride, definitely take the express, taxi would be completely unreliable. Or if there is no train when you need (that shouldn't happen), get a ride to the nearest metro station. Moscow metro is the fastest in the world (not the top speed but the average speed), at least twice faster than cars during the day, even more during pick hour.

There is a express train and some small buses. But the train (metro) is definitely the way to go.
