Hello all,

So I seem to have solved my issue in attempting to gain permission for long-term stay by way of a 12-month work permit (business?) invitation. I now need to know where I should get it processed.

I am American presently living and working in SPb on 3-month, double-entry business visa. I know that various changes to laws in the past state that an American can only obtain a Russian visa in his home country. However, last year I accomplished this same task (switching from a 3-month, double entry, business visa to a 9-month work permit) at the Russian Embassy in Tallinn, Estonia. The only draw back is that they would not allow me to pay for expidited processing as this is reserved for Estonian nationals only.

Due to my work as a private English Teacher and barmen, I would much rather pay a processing fee to have this new visa in less then a week then to affect my students and bar work by my absence. Therefore, getting current suggestions of consulates/embassies in Finland, The Baltics, or Ukraine would be very appreciated!
