I recently purchased six-month business visa support documents from WTR. I have read many, MANY conflicting reports on just what exactly one can do on a six-month, multiple-entry business visa. Can I stay for the whole six months in Russia in one long, uninterrupted stay, or may I spend it only in chunks of at most three months at a time interspersed by a day or two in another country, or can I only spend three months there all at once because after that, I would have to spend 90 days outside of the Russian Federation before being allowed to re-enter? Please clarify this for me. I would also like to mention that this should be made crystal clear to potential customers on the visa support page(s), where it just says:
Quote:
"With the visa support obtained through this site, you will not be tied to any hotel reservations or any specific dates. You are free to travel anywhere in Russia within the dates of your visa validity." Rolling Eyes

Thank you for the reply!

You can only be in Russia for 90 days total out of the 180. So if you're planning on staying in Russia continuously, and not going back and forth, it would have been better to get a 3 month visa. The conflicting information is probably because this rule was introduced at the end of 2007, so old information would say something different.

Sorry that this wasn't more clear. We'll add something to the visa support page to avoid confusion.

Wow, so I basically just got conned out of fifty American dollars then as the extra three months' time will be of no use to me, eh? Any chance of compensation there?

Actually, it's over $100 this has cost me, due to the unnecessary extra consular fees I shall be charged >_<. *Please* make this clear in the pages so it doesn't happen to someone else, I'm now missing out on a decent dinner in Moscow because of this. Could I somehow have this switched to a double-entry, three month visa (assuming that the three month visa lets me stay in Russia for a full 90 days), or is it too late to make any change orders? Please contact me via email if there is any chance of this.
