This topic is still a hot one. It is widely discussed not only in this forum, but also in a number of russian forums. Although the visa facilitation agreement should be adopted on the mutual basis, its practical implementation is a subject for a dispute. For example, the dutch embassy issues the visa for Russian citizens engaged in mixed marriage in accordance with the simplified rules. However, the russian consulate in the Hague refuses to accept the written statement from spouses. Apparently, Eu is aware of this practice, but does not interfere! So sad!!
