I would just like to say New Years in Russia rocks. Had a great night and you Russian's sure know how to bring in a New Year. Loved this guy last night who showed me a firework he described as a Russian special. Was about a 1 foot cube that made a hell of a lot of noise and an awesome firework display. Anyway was coming back to my apartment with my lady about 4:30am up Nevsky Prospect and it looked like a war zone there. Smoke everywhere, lots of militsaya in their jeeps and people dispersing all over the place. Crazy scenes and it looked like a war zone. Is this the norm for New Years Laughing

Thought as much Laughing We let off a few fireworks that night ourselves at the restaurant we were at. This one guy who we met in this restaurant that night showed me a firework what he called a Russian special. Bloody thing was a one foot cube. Biggest damn firework I have seen in my life. Was pretty impressive as well. Sadly down in Australia the nazi's in charge have banned fireworks. Been that way for over a decade now so we dont get to enjoy this activity down under.

Yeah, much better celebrations than England! Good atmosphere too, there were families with kids out to celebrate in the square when we went out.
Can't comment on the rest of the night, only have photos, not memory, but that's vodka for you... Embarassed
