I have a friend that I have been corresponding with via email for some time now and I am getting ready to possibly make a visit. I told my friend to gime their address and have not been able to locate this place on any map. Am I just an idiot or what? Here is what my friend gave me as it was given:

Village Kosino, Domodedov region, Moscow oblast 142060

Any help locating this place so that I can figure out expenses to travel there would be greatly appreciated.

The Domodedov region is a large region about 30 minutes south of the city of Moscow at their closest points. The tiny village of Kosino is probably about an hour/hour and a half outside of Moscow. Getting there on your own (if you've never been in Russia before) would be kinda tricky, since the best way to get their would probably be by combination of commuter train (the infamous elektrichka) and bus, depending on how far it is from a commuter line.

Given how seemingly confusing public transportation schedules and locations can get, I'd highly recommend having your friend meet you in Moscow and accompanying you back.

Cost-wise, a commuter train trip to a station nearest Kosino would probably run you about a dollar or two. A bus from the station, if necessary, probably another dollar. I hope these additional costs don't put too large a dent in your budget Smile

I happen to have a friend also that I have been in contact with for some time that just happens to live in the same very small village of Kosino in Russia. I would be most intetrested if you would post a reply with more information regarding this person due to I have concerns related to this. I will do the same.
Thanks.....
