I'm from Buenos Aires, and I'm trying to obtain the visa support letter to Russia. I've read in Way to Russia there's a way to receive one, but I need to know how long could it takes, because I'm arriving to Europe on May, 19 and I'd like to go to Russia on May, 20 or 21. The thing is I don't know exactly how to contact with a company or if I can do it through this page (waytorussia.net) paying by credit card.
I've checked at the consulate in Buenos Aires, and they've said to me that before I filing the papers they require the invitation to get the visa.
Could someone advise me the best and fast way to obtain the invitation letter? Thanks. |

If you obtain your invitation using this site, it says processing time is from 1 to 24 hours:

If the Russian consulate in Argentina accepts a FAX copy, you could have your invitation by Thursday or Friday. If they require the original, you will have to get it sent by an air express service. |

Just for reference, here is the consular page of the website for Russia's embassy in Argentina:
http://www.argentina.mid.ru/ESP/SeccionConsularE.html
You will have just enough time, but it will be necessary to pay extra for fast processing -- by the time you have your invitation letter, there may be as few as 3 or 4 business days (9 May is a Russian national holiday) to get your visa. |

| Interesting news about the visa-free agreement! I don't think it has yet come into effect; barbosal already contacted the consulate, and would surely have heard, if no visa were now required. The agreement was signed less than 2 months ago, and must be ratified by the legislatures of both countries. |

| Ahh, well, maybe next time (should he decide to return) he/she will be able to avoid the visa hassle all together! |
