Hi 2 all. I'm Alexey. I live in Kolomna 100km from Moscow. Here is Kremlin (little bit less that in Moscow ), age-old churches. Moreover arround Kolomna (use google map or yandex map) :
Lukhovitcy (Blue Lakes, cucumber's monument) - 20km from Kolomna, our local summer resort.
Zaraisk (Kremlin, age-old churches) - 50 (don't remember exactly)..ets

Great idea.
Most people focus on Moscow and St Petersburg but of course there is so much more in the "real" Russia to discover. |

True. And foreign tourists may enjoy the "Rest of Russia" even more than the more Westernised cities of Moscow and St Petersburg. |

Personally I am well and truly over ruined churches and recreated palaces. |

| I think that one of the great sightseen of Russian architecture is Kizhi & other Karelyan buildings. I've been there in summer, but i think in winter it's the same beautiful! |
