I'm using a business visa for my first time, and want to be sure that I fill the migration card correctly. (I understand that for purpose of visit I will indicate business, I want to make sure I don't miss anything else).

I will very much appreciate advice based on actual experience of doing this within the past year.

Also, have you found it useful to have a copy of your invitation with you?

Many thanks!

The only thing different from a Tourist visa is the name and address of the business that invited you instead of hotel or tour operator. There is not enough room for all that but you are supposed to know it since they are responsible for you, if you have problems, that business is the one who is to help you or answer for you if you do something that makes you known to the authorities. Having a copy of their visa support would be helpful as a reminder of their Russian name and address.
When you meet your business host, they will register your visa for you.

Thanks for the reply, stanj.

I should have said in the first post - I am using the business visa for flexible travel - I obtained it through a travel company (like the tourist invitations from hotels, for people who don't need to stay at the hotel). As it says on this site,
Quote:
This type of visa is supposed to be issued for the people, who come to Russia for business purposes. But because this type of visa allows long stays, multiple entries etc., it is also used by ordinary travelers, who need more flexibility.

So I don't expect to meet with the inviting company, and I hope to visit various cities (the inviting company is in Moscow).

Does this have any effect, on what I should do when entering Russia?

Again, thanks!
