I am an American interested in teaching English in Russia. However, I know very little of the language. I would like to reach at least an intermediate level proficiency in Russian. What are your suggestions for learning Russian? I am considering the following options: (1) remaining here for language study at a local university, or (2) entering an intensive language program in Russia. I would prefer to study in St. Petersburg. Do you have any personal experiences or suggestions to share? Thanks! ~ W2
