It's definitely faster to take the express train from Paveletskaya. You can get all info about public transport to Domodedovo (including timetables, etc) here: http://www.domodedovo.ru/ru/main/way/1/ Total time between Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo will be between two and a half and three and a half hours, depending on traffic and how well your connections line up.

I arrive at DME abut 05:00, I need to clear customs and get to SVO for a flight to St Petersburg. I am planning on taking a taxi. Does anyone know how long this should take/cost?

It will take at least 90 minutes. Depends a lot on traffic.

godzilla31 Just Starting Joined: 03 Dec 2009 Posts: 1	Posted: Thu Dec 03, 2009 7:33 pm    Post subject: domodedovo connection the better plan is to simply get flights both in and out of DME (domedovo).. search on Cheapoair..they seem to always have something. ive done the connection to sheremeteyveo..you should easily allow 4 hours..you have to get to the metro, then you have to get on another bus..you can easily screw it up and miss your flight
