I am sure most people would truly enjoy St Petersburg in the summer. I don't think people would say the same thing about you. I would be surprised if anyone wants to see your face or visit your apartment - unless he/she has got some morbid curiosity to see a loser with a small member.

Pechorin, after reading some of your post, I see how rude you are towards the Russians. I myself would prefer to find out on my own about St. Petersburg rather than it come from venting individual as you...

So far, you are the only one who has posted in this forum a bad reply about St. Petersburg. I have spoke with several people and they like the city.

You must have had a bad experience there. Did some poor little old BABUSHKA (Russians correct me if I am wrong in this spelling), pinch you on the ass?

Pechorin-I'm sure your experience in SPB was an exception and perhaps you are an exception to Italians. You seem like a very negative person and perhaps your character receives that which you give. I actually partied with a few Italians when I was in St Petersburg and we all loved the people and the city and our over-all time there. I plan to visit Italy in the near future and I only hope that the people there are more positive than you. As far as skin heads go...they are everywhere...personally I didn't notice them in St Pete...so I don't know which crowd you were hanging with. But I do know here in the US we have a lot of them...in fact we have Mexican skin heads too. In Italy I'm sure you have your versions. From what I hear Palermo isn't exactly Paradise...nor is Rome. But I do want to see and experience Italy. In fact I find this funny and perhaps you can answer where this is. Watch the video on this site.

Yes there are skinheads. They can be menacing as they stand in the middle of parks giving anti-foreigner speeches with loudspeakers. I am Italian and nobody ever messed with me but they stab black and asian children sometimes and people from India, Africa, Asia and the Caucasus feel uncomfortable there.

Russians are rude and stare at foreigners because they're not accustomed to seeing many of them. Honestly it's the least pleasant place I've ever been and unless you've got some morbid curiosity spend 3 days in St Petersburg and the rest of your time in Europe.

I agree. Yes, there are tens of thousands skinheads, they kills people, asians, black, and anyone who doesn't look white european. If you look European, you don't have a problem, you might feel safe. but, if you are black or asian - you're in big trouble trouble if they catch you. It's OK to come here for a short visit, but to stay here for a considerable period of time, to live and work here, NOT a good idea. I had volunteered to come here on a contract from US, later to have serious regrets. What I have noticed here is that locals don't want no foreigners here, and they show it in every way they can - the way they treat you, speak to you, look at you, etc. As an example, if you are black or asian, forget about getting assistance on the streets if you're lost. No one will help you. You're on on your own. I heard stories of foreigners, who were refused medical treatment because of their ethnicity.

Hi all, I am Russian, living in Rostov on Don, my name is Alexander.
So interesting to read what they write in America about Russia. I stumbled on about skinheads:) and gopnikov, I want to tell you that you (foreigners) likely to become timeworn no more than the local population. Ivoobsche Gopnik and skinheads are not certain sect of people were beaten up appearance, and a certain stratum of Russian society that you Americans is difficult to understand. Skinheads are as tough guys beating nerds in school, and Gopnik, shaking people for money.

Maybe my text written in strange, I just do not know very well English, and use Google Translator:)

By the way if you want detailed and correct information about Russia, please!
