Hi everyone,
I'm currently living / working out in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on Sakhalin Island and am thinking about catching a flight or boat over to Vladivostok and travelling back to Moscow with the Trans-Siberian express in May/June time.
While there are loads of websites that sell outrageously expensive first or second class tickets for the Trans-Siberian, I can't quite figure out what a good price is. What did most people pay? How easy is it to book a trip with several stops on the way?
Thanks,
Lorraine |

| it seems that it ranges from about 7500 roubles for kupe up to about 18000 roubles for 1st class on the Rossiya. you can break the journey into smaller parts and travel in platskart, which would be much cheaper. and it's perfectly decent and safe, unless you have a complete drunk in your coach, which i experienced once. |

If you know exactly, what time you want to spend in each city, it's possible to book tickets in the same ticket office in start point of your jorney. |

Hi,
I am going to take the Transsiberian to Vladivostok this May. Then I want to continue to Sakhalin by ferry or train. I do not want to take a plane! Please let me know if you know what the options are.
Thanks!

Hi,
From what I've heard it's not too hard to get the ferry across to Sakhalin. I think you arrive in Kholmsk which is supposed to be a dump! If you plan on spending any time in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, I'd definitely book FAR ahead (all the hotels are always booked out by the oil companies and their contractors).
If you find out anything, please post it here!
Thanks,

Hello friends!
If you need any assistance in Vlad, our company would be very glad to help you. I personally have arrived from the travel exhibition held in New York and guess, I understand what do people need:)
