I will be going by train into Russia soon for a short stay. I have a relatively large amount of prescription medicine with me, intended for several years of use. I also have a doctor's letter and prescription. I have heard that there could be difficulties bringing this amount of medicine in (several hundred pills) but it is for my personal use over several years, not for my stay in Russia. Can anyone please give opinion about whether this will cause problems. The medicine is clearly labeled in blister packs and as I mentioned, I have the prescription and doctor letter. I can't send these pills but have to carry them personally for I am moving to a new country (not Russia, I am just transiting through Russia.) Do I have to declare these items? What do the regulations say about this? Thank you for your help.
